I'm torn on whether to do Chef Mickey's or 1900 Park Fare for our first night's dinner at WDW. We have ADR's for Chef Mickey's for breakfast for later in the week and we have CRT for the next morning so I guess it really comes down to which food is better? thanks!

What's the dinner like at 1900? We usually go to Chef Mickey's for first night but I would be up for a change... :)

We always start with Chef Mickeys and it always puts us in a great frame of mind for a great vacation......I think it is much more upbeat than 1900 with the characters dancing around and swinging their napkins. 1900 is probably better food but not by much.
Have fun!

Since you are already doing Chef Mickey's I would do 1900 Park Fare. No need to do Chef Mickey's twice.

IMHO, the food at Park Faire is much, much better...and one trip to Chef Mickey's is enough! :)

To be honest, the real question is this.

Do you want Cinderella and characters from the movie in a convention hotel ball room or Mickey and the gang on the concourse?

I'd say they're both about the same food wise over. Some days one is more deluxe, some days the other. Some days one is better, some days the other. Some days one is cleaner, sometimes the other. Each has its fans and detractors. The menu's at each for the dinners change fairly often. So the menu you see now might not be the one they have when you're there.

What I would personally do is this. I'd do Chef Mickey's the first night and switch the breakfast you currently have at Chef Mickey's for later in the week over to 1900 PF with Mary Poppins and friends. That way, you're not duplicating Cinderella and you aren't duplicating Chef Mickey's either.

Just pick what characters you'd like to see and go for it is my suggestion.

Up until January the last time we went to 1900 and CM I would have said go to 1900 hands down. But this last was so bad that we wont be going back for awhile. The food was just so - so and we didn't see Cindy until about 15 minutes after we were ready to leave and I had said something. Price Charming was not, but the mice were great. It may have just been an off night becasue we never had any problems before. But Chef Mickey's has always been consistant.
