I am trying to decide between these two for dinner. Our party will consist of me, my DH, DD4, DS2, and my parents. My parents, husband, and I all did Chef Mickey's for dinner in 2007. I don't remember loving the food, but I don't remember hating it either. My kids have never been there. None of us have ever done 1900PF. Is the food better there? I think my mom would really enjoy touring the GF. She's never seen it. My daughter loves princesses, but we are already doing Akershus for breakfast, so that isn't necessarily a consideration.

My main concern with Chef Mickey's is my son. He was terrified of the characters last year, and I don't know how he'll do this year, but part of me just thinks every kid should do Chef Mickey's once.

Which would you suggest??

We have always had breakfast at Chef Mickey's but never had dinner there. It is actually a must for every trip. The first time we went my daughter was 3 and was terrified of the characters at first. She screamed like someone was killing her when Goofy came to the table lol. But Minnie Mouse got her to calm down and then she was never afraid again. So maybe this will help your son too.

We have eaten at Park Fare for dinner and really enjoyed the food as well as the experience. The Stepsisters and Stepmom are hilarious. And how can you not love Cinderella and Prince Charming? It's different than Akershus as these characters are not there. Plus, your son might not be scared because the characters do not wear masks. And from what I have heard, Chef Mickeys is better for breakfast than dinner.

Thanks for your reply! I think I'm leaning more towards 1900 PF since it will be a new experience for everyone. It's always fun to try some place new!

I would second that. We ate breaky at Chef Mickeys but dinner at 1900 PF are really liked it. The character interaction was FANTASTIC and so much fun. The food is not the most incredible in the world but we are picky and veggies and hard to please lol but there is a pretty good assortment and the dessert section is great as well.
Have a great trip!

If you are going to do Chef Mickey's make sure it is for breakfast! Otherwise I would go with 1900!

We havent been to Chef Mickey's in a couple of years cause of bad services and bad character interaction. We do 1900 every year though and my family really enjoys it and loves the interaction with the characters. The step sister are a blast.
