We are two adults, but want a character buffet to end our vacation. Never been to Chef Mickey's, but have been to 1900 Park Fare years ago when it was Mary Poppins themed (now it's Cinderella). I do prefer the characters at Chef Mickey's, but the priority as adults now is the food. Which one has better food or more choices? I seem to remember that Park Fare didn't have many choices in the past. Also, which meal is better at each, breakfast or dinner? We have a meal plan, so price doesn't matter. Thanks!

While I like Chef MIckey's for breakfast, we at dinner there back in December and the food was downright awful. Reviews on food for dinner at 1900PF are also mixed, but I've heard more positive reviews on 1900pf vs Chef Mickey's for dinner (sorry only done 1900PF for breakfast).

1900 without a doubt for food over Chef Mickeys.
My kids love the characters at Chef Mickeys but the food is down right horrible. I wouldn't bring them back there this past trip although they asked. We went to alternative character meals at 1900, and Tusker House.
Enjoy your vacation!!!

My girlfriend and I like the breakfast at both but dislike the dinners at both. 1900 PF breakfast has Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger and is not Cinderella themed. Breakfasts at both is pretty standard breakfast food, each with a few unique dishes but nothing that really stands out too much. The character interaction at 1900 PF is great, but if you haven't been the CM, breakfast with the Fab 5 is a great way to end a trip.

1900 Park Fare. A thousand times over, 1900 Park Fare. We are first-order foodies and you will NOT be disappointed there. Great characters and exceptionally great breakfast. I have dreams about the strawberry soup. In addition, you don't feel rushed at 1900PF. There just seems to be plenty of time to enjoy every table visit.

I felt that 1900 Park Fare was a lot better with more unique buffet options than Chef Mickey's. Chef Mickey's food is mediocre at best. DH hated CM and won't go back, but he liked 1900 Park Fare which we went to this past trip. The nice thing about Chef Mickey's is the characters so that would make me go back, every other trip maybe.

Food is better at 1900 PF for both meals, although breakfast at CMs is closer than dinner.

Remember that the characters at 1900 PF for the 2 meals are VERY different. Breakfast is "British" Disney with characters from Pooh, Alice, and Mary Poppins. I always think of it as a warm, fuzzy experience.

Dinner is not the stereotypical wall-to-wall princess experience that CRT and Norway have. You get Cindy and her Prince, but you also get Stepmama and the 2 Stepsisters. They interact particularly well with adults and can be downright hilarious. This is the closest thing you can find nowadays to a "Villains" meal and is well worth it if you haven't been before.

I second what others have said, breakfast is good at either but dinner is horrible at CM.

We prefer 1900 over Chef Mickey's for Breakfast and Dinner but Chef Mickey's has the Fab 5.

I prefer breakfast at 1900 Park Fare but we're trying dinner this time around. We're doing Chef Mickey's on our last day to say goodbye to the characters (but we have a 3 & 5 year old)... otherwise I would probably skip it altogether.

1) 1900 Park Fare.
2) The food at Mickey's continues to go downhill.

:thumbsup2 Agree 100%. We had the WORST experience at Chef Mickey's and will never go back. It was disgusting..... on our way to our table to be seated, we walked by the cereal station. We were crunching cereal under our feet. It was nasty. The food wasn't replenished, what was there was cold, and the food stations were an absolute mess. We waited 2 hours for the characters to get to our room. ( I'm not even kidding.... you want to see some ticked off folks ? I'm pretty sure mutiny was coming.....)

1900 PF, on the other hand, was totally organized, the food was terrific, the character interaction was WONDERFUL and it was CLEAN. All the food stations were meticulous. Never again for us at CM.

Thanks everyone for the insights. From reading all this, it will definitely be Park Fare for breakfast, but I will miss the villlains at dinner and the Fab 5 at CM. Now to get the reservation...
