Chef Mickeys lunch?

Hi we were told that during free dining they were offering Chef Mickeys for lunch. When I look online it doesn't mention characters. Does anyone know if characters are there for lunch? Also, if you have done lunch at Chef Mickeys what type of food? Similar to dinner? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!

The info I have heard/read has been that they are expanding to lunch in order to accomodate more guests for free dining. I'm positive this will be a character meal as they do characters at both dinner and breakfast. I would assume that the offering would either be brunch-ish or very similar to their dinner offerings. I've done a lot of character breakfast and dinners but no lunches so I'm not sure on that.

Chef Mickey's breatkfast is your typical breakfast buffet offerings: sausage, bacon , bagels, various muffins and breads, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes/waffles, eggs dishes, potato dishes, etc. For us it was just ok, though many people like the breakfast there.

Last month when I stayed at the Contemporary just as Free Dining started, I looked into Chef Mickey's during the times when lunch was happening they had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto all there.

Yes it does, we went for lunch twice during free dining in August and the whole gang was there, mickey, minnie , goofy, pluto and I'm not sure about Donald.

Yeah, they're all there...they had better be to pay that price for pretty mediocre food. (I am not a Disney food basher, as I have had mostly good meals at WDW, but this one is not very good.)
