Chef Mickey's Lunch

I saw the threads a while back about Chef Mickey's being open for lunch, but at the time I don't think it was known if that was going to happen all the way through free dining, or just for a while.

Does anyone know if they are doing Chef Mickey's for lunch on days that have just recently opened up for ADR's, or if this is something that is definitely (or definitely not) going to be offered through free dining?

Our ADR window opens in about a week, and we are looking at doing a CM lunch on 9/29 if possible.

Im not sure of the dates but in the past they did open this durning free dinning to help with the overload of other resturants. Call them and them might be able to give you the info ur looking for.

1) They open Chef Mickey's for lunch during free dining.
2) Character meals are such a HUGE money maker when used by DDP !!!!!!!

It appears as though lunch at Chef Mickey's this year for free dining ends on August 29th. I have a reservation for that day but could not get one past that. A concierge CM told me there is no lunch there the week of the 30th.

Shoot, that is what I was afraid of. I'll keep checking on it in case they add it later, but it sounds like I have a little bit of planning to do over. Not a major deal, we were just wanting to hit DHS in the morning, do Chef Mickey's for lunch, and then head back to the hotel to rest before MNSSHP. We will work it in somewhere else without a problem I'm sure.

I thought lunch at Chef Mickey's during free dining was until October 3rd, which is the last day free dining ends for 2009.

I thought so too, but it seems there is no lunch available after 8/29.

In a way, I suppose this might be a good thing. If they are not opening up Chef Mickey's for lunch later in free dining, they must not be expecting the other TS places to be completely packed every meal. And fewer people at the restaurants should also mean fewer people in the parks.

It is a pretty minor change in plans for us - and I'll gladly trade that if it means we are going to see even smaller crowds.

I just checked online and was able to see an ADR for Chef Mickey's on Sept 26 at 1:00 PM. If that is not lunch, then I don't know what it is.

Yup that is a lunch ADR based on the time.

Sorry, my mistake. 8/29 is the day I have the lunch reservation for. Try the 30th through the 3rd - nothing.

I just found one for 9/21 at 12:30 pm. Sounds like they have opened it up now for the rest of free dining (at least through the thrid week of September).

I have a lunch at 2:00 on 9-20. Looking forward to it since I have never done lunch there. I didn't think to ask though and was wondering if anyone else with luch ressies did, Does anyone know the price of the lunch buffet? Since searching on here and seeing that it seems to have less items than dinner I am assuming that it is cheaper, but by how much?

I have lunch booked on Oct 1 at CM's so they are definitely open for lunch.
