I just changed my resort location in December from the CR to POFQ. I originally had Chef Mickey's as a breakfast on our last day at 8:30. Pretty easy if we were still staying at the CR, but now that we're not, I need a better option. I also have lunch booked at Le Cellier for that day so we're probably going to head to Epcot-at least to eat lunch.

So any good suggestions?? I'd prefer a TS breakfast, but if there is an amazing CS place, I'm up for that too. It's just 2 adults so characters aren't a must, but can always be fun.

Other than eating at POFQ/POR CS'sfor breakfast, you're still faced with the same issue of getting somewhere for breakfast.
I stayed at POFQ and ate breakfast there a few times and it was nothing special.

But you could consider a place in or very close to Epcot.
I would consider Akershus first - it would be easy to get to since you're going to Epcot that day anyway, and it wouldn't require any extra transportation time.
The other option is Cape May Cafe, but it would be a little more difficult to get there. You could take the bus from bus POFQ to DHS, and then catch a boat to the BC. Then after you eat, you can walk right in to Epcot.
You could also try Kouzzina, at the BWI - but that would require the same transportation situation as Cape May.

The only one of those places I have eaten at was Cape May Cafe. It was very good and I would recommend it food wise - but for you, I think Akershus seems to be the most logical pick.

may be on of the easier TS breakfasts to get to from POFQ since they stopped serving breakfast at Boatwright's.

If you're using Disney transportation, take the MK bus and walk over to CM or catch the monorail. Then you can take the monorail over to Epcot.

I'll agree that POFQ doesn't have great breakfasts. I'm happy just getting some beignets and croissants.

We love POFQ, but getting to a decent breakfast can be a challenge. We usually make our reservation where we want to eat and then take a cab to get there. It is worth the $10-15 to not have to deal with the hassel of getting there early in the morning for us. :thumbsup2

Hmmm taking a cab might be the best bet. Akershus would be a literal fight with DH. We're already going to CRT and we've been to Akershus. Personally I really like the idea lol!!

We always stay at POFQ and breakfast at CM is a must for us. We always get the earliest possible ADR.....around 7am....and have never had an issue using Disney transportation. Most often the bus drops us right at CR instead of the TTC.

If you are staying at POFQ, you could have breakfast at Downtown Disney too. The boat doesn't start running until 10 am (I think) but you could take the bus. Wolfgang Puck Express has AWESOME breakfasts! They portions are huge and they are delicious. They have omelets, breakfast pizzas, breakfast pocket sandwiches, waffles, french toast. If you are on the DDP, it is a CS location.

Earl of Sandwich serves breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, fruit, muffins, etc.

That would be my recommendation for something easier to get to, closer to POFQ.

Have fun with whatever you decide!

if you're going to take a cab anyway, I'd go to Boma breakfast...by far the best breakfast on property. Lots of American choices, with a few exotic dishes thrown in. It's way, way, way better than CM or Akershus (and no characters to upset the DH, lol)

Then you can take an AKL bus to Epcot. Piece of cake.

I didn't even consider breakfast at DTD! And I've heard many people rave about Boma, but I'm so scared to try it....

Breakfast is breakfast at Boma...you can get all your "normal" fare, I find it is not as varied as it is at dinner time.

And IMHO I can't imagine eating a TS breakfast then lunch at Le Cellier...too much food in my opinion...you've got to save room for the yummy cheddar cheese soup...pretzel bread...entree...dessert :)

If you want TS I see no reason why you couldn't stick with CM? You can cab it to CR then hop on the monorail to Epcot when you are done.

We have stayed at POFQ and never had an issue w/bus transportation getting to Chef Mickey's for our breakfast. It is a must on our trip w/our two boys. We will be staying at CBR this August and have it booked as well. We will also be trying Boma at AKL for breakfast, which I heard was very good. We have the free dining so I booked all my reservations just to make sure that the ones I really wanted would be available during my stay. I have heard alot about the transportation issues at CBR but i'm hoping while i'm there it will be fine. You just need to allow yourself enough time to get where you need to be. I'm just looking forward to go and see my boys smiling faces.
