Hi everyone,

This will be the first time eating at Chef Mickey's. I was able to get a late dinner reservation at 9pm. Problem is the transportation. I will be staying at the All-star sports resort so I am relying on the bus transportation.

Am I forced to take a taxi or car service or something after dinner?

There will be bus options.

-If the MK is still open you can walk over to the MK bus stops and take the bus to your resort.

-If Epcot is open you can take the monorail, then transfer to the Epcot monorail at the TTC.

-If DHS or AK is open you can take a bus from the CR to the park and transfer to your resort bus.

-If no park is open take the bus from the CR to DTD and transfer to your resort bus.

-Taxis are available at CR and faster so what I would opt for rather than the DTD option.

Thanks, all the parks close at 9pm that day. What is the latest time does DTD bus run?

Thanks do you know how long it might take to go from CR to DTD to All-Star Sports?

I'd plan an hour to an hour and a half. We did WL-DTD-CB one year and it sucked. DTD is packed at that time of night and it is a free for all when it comes to lining up there. They have multiple stops at DTD as well, so you will have a jam packed bus. It is the free way to do it, but definitely not stress free.

I just changed my resort to ASMusic because I remembered the renovation at the food court. I asked about this situation and she mentioned that I can take it to the ticket center and take the bus from there. The bus run till like midnight.

There are no buses from the TTC to the resorts. Whomever you spoke with on the phone is wrong. Buses from the TTC go to AK and DHS only.

Phone CMs are often wrong. This time is no exception. There are no buses between the TTC and resorts.

Your only options are transfer at DTD (plan on it taking 90 minutes total) or taking a cab (about $25 and 15 minutes)

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Downtown Disney as a transfer point. The buses to/from there are notoriously slow! Either transfer at a park, or take a taxi. The taxi will save you about an hours worth of time, and at that time of night would be well worth the $20 it would cost, imho.

The previous posters are right. There have not been buses to/from the TTC to the resorts for years.

wow. thanks! good to know!!! I'll try to figure something out.

Depending upon how long your dinner lasts, you might want to look at the Magic Kingdom buses to see if they are still running when you are done with dinner. The park closes at nine, but they run busses until the park is completely cleared out - gift shops stay open for a while after the park closes and you can get in line for a ride right up until the park closes - so it takes a while to empty the park and get everyone "home" to their hotel. There's a chance the bus might still be running depending on how long your dinner lasts. Not a guarantee, but worth a look to avoid having to transfer buses.

For a 9pm ADR at Chef Mickeys, plan on being at the restaurant until about 10ish. There 'may' be buses still running at MK...you could head over there and see.
If it were me? I would just go down to the lobby area of the CR and ask to have a cab called. Sometimes, the CMs may offer to drive you back to your resort. If they do, remember to tip them well. But, they may not offer...they aren't always able to. So, just take the cab back.

I am expecting dinner will last till 10ish. I might be able to catch the monorail back to MK since it's 1 stop, right? And hopefully be able to catch a bus considering they need to clear the park completely.

I forgot, is it just 1 bus that picks up all the guests for all 3 All-Star resorts?

If not, I was just thinking hopping to any of the all-star buses and just walk it.

All star resorts may each have their own bus or may share a bus depending on time of day/crowd level. I think the resort monorail runs the opposite direction you want and you'd have to do almost the whole loop to get back to the magic kingdom. There is a path to walk from the contemporary to mk. It's about a 5 minute walk.

It will take you about 20 mins to get to MK if you were to take the monorail..if it's even operating. I believe it shuts down an hour after the park closes.
In any case, it takes under 10 mins to walk to the MK from the CR.
