Chef Mickey's dinner or Donald's Safari Breakfast?

DS1, age 6, would like to have dinner with Mickey and the gang. I've heard not so good things about Chef Mickey's but made a dinner ADR anyways. Now I'm wondering, isn't it the same crew at Tusker House for Donald's Safari Breakfast? Which would you recommend? Thanks!

i've been to both and I prefer Tusker House. The food is soooo much better. The characters are great, Daisy was hilarious! The food is so wonderful, such a HUGE variety. its simply delicious. Plus its nice to get an early ADR so you can get over to Kilomanjaro safari ride before the others. Its right across the restaurant.

Chef Mickeys was disappointing. I didnt like the food, the quality was awful. Food not warm etc. The selection stunk. The atmosphere is dreadful in my opinion. But the only good thing is the characters, the fab 5. They really were terrific. Yes it took forever to see them all, but they are wonderful and really take their time with you.

I'd base my decision depending on which park you wanted to visit that day. I think CM is worth trying at least once so you can form your own opinion. Cause you never know, you just might love it.

We have eaten at Tusker House twice, and would do it again. The characters are great, and the food is delicious, especially the juice!

You take a photo with Donald before you get seated. Inside the restaurant are Mickey, Daisy & Goofy. I love Tusker House breakfast.

I'm 21 and even I love Tusker House's character breakfast! My girlfriend liked it a lot too, although she was kind've curious as to why the Minnie character gave me about 11 hugs that we're completely out of her way lol.
The characters are the same as Chef Mickey's, except they're safari themed which is pretty cool. Also, your in the park, instead of being off in the corner of the Contemporary which doesn't even feel like your in Disney.

Can't go wrong with Tusker House!

We've done both and I'll add my vote for Tusker House! This means quite a bit because I don't even usually eat breakfast. The character interaction at Tusker is great - I agree Daisy is really funny - and the food is quite good.

Head to head I'd choose TH, but both are fun so I'd see which fits better with your park schedule

We'd pick TH based on our experience last trip. TH was fabulous whereas CM's was absolutely horrible on every level.

I have done both and love both but if pushed to choose I would go for Chef Mickey's. I love the party atmosphere and napkin twirling, the ultimate character meal in my opinion. People on these boards tend to dislike it though.

We really like Chef Mickeys, and we'll be going there for breakfast on our next trip, without the kids! We go once every trip.

We've done both breakfasts, but not dinner at CM. I agree with Bitbonkers that CM is the ultimate character meal. Even though I tend to be shy, I love the party-like atmosphere.

Bottom line: You'll enjoy either place, but CM gets my vote!

We LOVED breakfast at the Tusker House, but have only done a brunch at CM. The brunch was good but my vote is TH!!!
