We were at Chef Mickeys a few years ago for dinner and I didn't care for it. I was wondering how they were for breakfast I would like to try again this time for breakfast.

We ate brunch there 2 years ago...we liked it. It was your basic breakfast food. The Mickey waffles were my favorite. This time around we are eating breakfast and dinner there. Only eating dinner there bc we are staying at the contemporary and driving down so I just thought it would be easy to have dinner there on our arrival day lol

Sorry, we have eaten there 3 times for breakfast, and each time was progressively worse. My girls don't want to stay at CR simply because Chef Mickeys is there.

Seriously, not good at all, based on our experiences.

I am glad to know I am not alone. We went there for dinner and the buffet was not that great and seemed kind of messy. We stay at the BCV so we wanted to try something else and we were not impressed. I just thought of giving them another try

We liked it just fine and the characters were good. I agree with you that the dinner buffet was not very good.

If you're staying at BCV try Cape May for breakfast. Pretty much the same characters in different outfits and similar food. And I think Cape May is cheaper than Chef Mickeys.

We went for the second time at Christmas for breakfast and liked it very much. Of course, I just like breakfast food. However, I don't think you are really paying for the food as much as the experience when you go there. My philosophy is: dining plan-go for it....cash out of pocket-forget it.

We've done breakfast a couple times and dinner once. Not impressed with any of it! Felt the food was meh...not horrible, but the same stuff you can get anywhere. The serving areas were always a mess. Tried it a few times because I kept hearing all these rave reviews and convinced myself we must be missing something. But three strikes and you're out!

Personally, I really did enjoy Tusker House at AK for breakfast. You get a picture with Donald outside and then inside you see Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy. Food was much, much better, more of a variety. LOVED the Jambo(sp?) juice! Just thought for a character breakfast buffet this was hands down better than Chef Mickey's.

We have done Chef Mickeys every trip and have never had a bad experience.

We only did Chef Mickey's once in 1999 so obviously it's been a while for us. However, the experience was amazing, no issues with food, cleanliness or character interaction. I'm glad we did it for DD's first (and our first) trip to WDW. However, now that our family has grown, it would cost upwards of $200 for breakfast there. Just not a good value both for time and $$ for us anymore.

Dinner is a never again for us but we returned to breakfast there a few months ago (I fought it but my oldest really wanted to try it again ) and enjoyed it. Lots of variety, standard breakfast food, but a much larger selection than, for example, Cape May. I was shocked, to be honest. None of us like Cape May at all.
