Would you recommend this experience or would you say pick something else for a character meal experience?

It's a little overwhelming with the singing and dancing, but our 2 year old was fine.

Cape May is a pretty laid back breakfast with most of the same people.

CM is great for that I think. Tusker House was packed with younger kids when we did breakfast there too.

You really can't go wrong with any character meal as far as the atmosphere and characters go. That being said, I enjoyed the food more at other character meals much better. If the Fab Five are important to you, the food is fine there, but for better food, I'd pick someplace else.

Are you referring to the breakfast or dinner food? I've heard dinner is awful but breakfast is much better.

I actually liked the food much better at dinner. Chef Mickey's is one of my least favorites for food at breakfast, Cape May Cafe is the only one I like less for breakfast.

My DD is 2 and loves Chef Mickey's. She likes the high energy atmosphere. We also have done Cape May, it's nice but not sure I'd go unless it was convenient. My absolute fav is Tusker House for breakfast

Is the 2 year old comfortable being around the characters? Pick the restaurant that has the characters the child is most likely to relate to ( my DGS loved Donald Duck, so back then his fave was in AK). CP in MK is great for the Pooh characters. Boy or girl might make a difference. Pick the one that you can spend enough time at to fully have a chance for photos with all the characters available that your child won't be afraid of. We managed to stretch out Chef Mickey's for two rounds of characters, so it was really fun. (The food is not really the reason you're there, and there are enough choices to work for everyone).

We really like Crystal Palace and Tusker House, the last meal we had at 1900 Park Fare was really good as well.
Those are our favorites as well.
I'd put Tusker House at the top. We've eaten there every trip and have never had a bad meal. Food is always hot with plenty of choices, always friendly service, and good character interaction.
