Went to Chef Mickey's last year for the first time. I didn't really care for the food....could eat it again if I had to but nothing I would rush back for. I did think it was a really fun atmosphere and I loved seeing my dd interacting with the characters, so I definitely plan on going back this year. How is the breakfast food there? Also, does anyone know how late they serve breakfast...is it possible to spend a few hours in a park in the early morning and get there for a late breakfast/brunch? Thanks!

We love Chef Mickey's breakfast - it's one of our favorites. We like the breakfast buffet - standard breakfast fare (nothing special IMO), but good nonetheless.

It's been a few years since I went there for breakfast, but we've always enjoyed breakfast at CM. We have ADRs for breakfast there in September.

Dinner there, though, left much to be desired.

Its a must do for us every trip.:goodvibes We enjoy breakfast more so than the dinner. The breakfast has something for everyone!:thumbsup2

DS LOVES Chef Mickey's, his fav is b-fast but since we're on DDP we're going to try dinner.

We ususally try to book the latest possible b-fast and then YES it is possible to do some MK touring before heading over. I always enjoy a day like this & the atmosphere, though loud, is great ;)

Have fun!

We were there three years ago and my youngest is STILL talking about breakfast pizza :)

We went there for breakfast the last morning of our July 2008 trip. DH and I thought the food was excellent. Usual breakfast buffet foods, and some unique things like breakfast pizza and breakfast lasagna. Character interaction was excellent. We had gotten there when they opened at 7AM.

We're going to the Chef Mickey's dinner our first night of our upcoming July trip. I'm a little nervous because of some bad reviews of the food, but my boys (ages 3 and 5) love all the classic characters, and my older one still remembers when we went to Chef Mickey's last time and he says he wants to go there again! We're going to be with my sister, nieces and parents, and this was the time we could all go together. We figured the first night for dinner would be nice to start off the trip with that magical Disney feel, since we're not going to a park on arrival day. I'm not having high expectations of the food but I'm sure there will be a couple of things I will enjoy. We're really going more for the experience.

Never been to bfst, but I can tell you that I didn't care for the dinner. Not much variety, and service was not good.

My family and I have been to Chef Mickey's a few times for dinner and each time we thought it was good, so we don't have any complaints about it.

We went for breakfast last year, and really enjoyed the food. They had a lot of variety, so I don't think anyone would go hungry. Dh wont stop talking about the breakfast pizza, and has already established he will be embarrassing me with the amount of food he plans on eating::rolleyes: At first I was mad that dh made us an 11:30 breakfast ADR there, but now it is our new tradition. We go to EMH in the morning at MK, then take the monorail over to CR to eat at Chef Mickey's. I will be doing it again in two weeks!!!

Anyway, they had a variety of pastries, waffles, and things of that nature. I doubt you would go hungry. No the food is not gourmet, but you go for the experience anyway.

I've always loved breakfast there, and we've typically gone for one of their latest breakfast seatings, sometimes around 11:20. It works out great if you want some park time or a lazy morning. ;)

We've done a breakfast and a dinner every trip and the food has always been very good and we have always had great service :goodvibes.
