chef mickeys breakfast question

wondering something, and i know there is alot of info on here, but i am being blonde for a moment LOL

we put a few ideas/ dining plans into the WDW meal planner ( i finally got it to work) and have pretty much all PS's for dinner, except CRT( thats a MUST) now, we are staying at CR so what are my chances of getting breakfast at chef mickeys if i DONT make a PS?
thinking that i might have set up too much plans ( goes smoother with the kids if we dont have alot of definate plans) i am wondering if say, we wake up and decide we want a big breakfast what are the odds we would get into chef mickeys for breakfast? - we would be eating in room - our date is tues nov 30 2004

but i am worried that if i DONT make the PS we wont get in, but also dont want to have 2 big meals that day ( same night would be CP)
can you canel a PS at chef mickeys without penlty? - do you have to pay money/despot when you book the PS ?- the only ps i have ever made was CRT- so i am not sure how the others work sorry.

You should probably book Chef Mickey's as soon as you can - I believe it was voted as the best character breakfast in WDW in the Birnbaum's 2004 WDW Guide so it is better to be safe than sorry and no - you will not have to pay a penalty if you do not show up but they do ask that you call 24 hours in advance to cancel

Go ahead and make the PS. I've always enjoyed Chef Mickey's - it gets my day off with a good breakfast and Mickey magic. But then I'm a breakfast eater. Enjoy your trip! Ely

We made PS's for Chef Mickey's when we were there in June and were seated before a ton of people waiting before and after us. In fact, our seats became available while we having our picture taken!

If you don't mind waiting for a table to become available I'd say you could go without the PS. Otherwise, I'd play it safe and go ahead and make one, you won't regret it!
