I've been reading a LOT of negative posts about Chef Mickey's lately. We have a breakfast ADR there the first week of December first thing (7:30 I think). I wanted to see the Contemporary (never been there other than passing through on the monorail), and wanted to get the breakfast with Mickey. Didn't want to do dinner there as dinner reservations tie us down too much (we have a couple planned, but not every night).

Anyway, what's the scoop on Chef Mickey's for breakfast? Is it as bad as people are saying? Should I switch it out for a lunch somewhere?

Help!

Thanks.

Based on the posts I have read their breakfast buffet seems more popular then their dinner buffet, so I would keep it and based on what you said I think you also want to keep it.

I agree, breakfast is fine. We've done both and just weren't impressed with the food at dinner. It was okay, but most of the other dinner buffets at WDW are better.

We love Chef Mickey's! The food is decent, and the characters are fun! I would say you should definitely keep your ADR there! :goodvibes

Definitely keep it.
I have my christmas 8 day trip already booked but my daughter is dissapointed we don't have chef mickeys booked so I am looking at what I can swap to add it in.
Chef Mickeys is definitely worth it! Fabulous characters and LOTS of food to choose from. Best buffet we have had at a disney restaurant.

We had breakfast there for the first time a few weeks ago (we normally do dinner). We thought it was great. The character interaction was good; they didn't just pose and run. We all liked the food. I know several people complained about the construction but we didn't notice it.

You're always going to get negative reviews (everyone loves LTT, we didn't) but if it's something you want to try, you should. It might end up being your favorite place!

This a must do for us every trip.
Always good food and fun.
We feel the same as above about LTT- terrible to us and would never return.

Thanks for the replies! We'll go ahead and keep it (CR Resort Fan was right...I really wanted to keep it...but was just a bit nervous. These replies have me excited again).

Thanks!

OMG KEEP IT!!!!!!!! That is my favorite place to eat breakfast.......I will have a review coming up in my dining report so check it out..I took a ton of pics. I would put it up but I'm getting ready for bed. I promise to have it up tomorrow.
