We are going next week with our 3yr old grandson, I was able to get a breakfast at Chef Mickey, which he will love.
But I see they're doing construction and read it is loud.
Has anyone had breakfast there while this construction noise is happening? How loud is it in the restaurant?
I hate for this to ruin his breakfast, he is not a fan of very loud noises.
Still trying to snag a Topolino's to replace this one, but no luck yet.

I'ts really nuts they restarted the characters right when construction started, perfect timing.

I can't comment on noise now, but the characters started in December. Not right when construction started. The construction had not even been announced in December.

Oh really? I saw 2 weeks ago a post on Disney Food Blog about characters coming back and I thought it was new.
I just looked and I guess they just reposted it from December.
Thanks.

You're welcome. DFB is notoriously click-bait and reposting things as if new. They're also among those acting like the "late July" announcement for the Poly reopening is new when I booked my room for opening day several months before the room design was revealed.

Yes, we were there last week. The noise was very noticeable when we were waiting for our table, but after we were seated I didn't notice at all. It was my 3 year old's and 7 year old's favorite meal of the trip. As a family, we thought it was much better family style than it was as a buffet. The characters all came around twice while we ate so they had plenty of interaction. Have a great trip :)

Thank you so much for this information!
Last time we were there he had just turned one, he liked it then, now he's gonna love it.
He hugged Mickey and bit his nose.:crazy2:

Just make sure to prepare him that he cannot hug Mickey. Or any of the characters. He can wave at them and they'll wave back, but he cannot approach them.
