I'm surprised that no one is reporting on the firing over an alleged DDP scam. The server was fired because she was paid in cash but charged the meal to another person's DDP. (How many times have we heard of disappearing DP credits?)

Could this be a big problem at WDW? Anybody here with disappearing credits problems?

How should WDW address this?

I know from dealing with it myself...that fraud/ theft within the system perpetrated by employees at WDW is fairly common.

however it represents a relatively small percentage of the customers being affected and what amounts to chump change in the grand scheme of things.

That is why you will never hear anything about it.

The general manager of a certain Red and White hotel at WDW was fired, cuffed, and haul out of the building by the Orange County sheriff while i was working there...

...but no charges were pressed and no mention of it was ever made after that day...and she is undoubtedly working at another high end hotel chain this very day.
No consequences...its bad for PR

The problem is when you employ as many people as Disney does, there are bound to be a few bad apples.

I'm just curious how the OP found out about this? Was it something online, TV or insider information?

It's always nice to see a source listed, if possible.

That's exactly how that scam worked, when the guest who got their DDP charged twice, they go to their resort front desk to ask for correction. The front desk CM thinks it must be a programming error and put the DDP credit back to the guest. Meanwhile, the waiter keeps the $$ from the guest who paid cash.
