I finally got a reservation for Chef Mickey's! It's my younger DS's first trip and I think he'll really like eating there. Anyway, the reservation I have is for 11:20. I see they only serve breakfast until 11:30....so how does that work. Will the food be replenished and will the characters still make their full rounds. I just don't want to get the feeling that we shouldn't be there and the experience seems rushed.

We've had a late breakfast ADR there before and we did not feel rushed at all. If anything, the characters may feel less rushed since tables will start clearing out. Now, I wouldn't plan to hang out there for several hours ;), but you'll have plenty of time for everyone to eat and spend time with the characters when they visit your table.

DD loves everything about Chef Mickey's, I am sure you'll have a great time!

is our final meal at WDW. We used to have breakfast there and then head to DTD for shopping.

Two trips ago I messed up my days for the CM ADR. I was able to finally get the right date but at 11:25. We just went to DTD first and headed out directly from CM. We preferred that later time so much we booked an 11:15 this pas trip.

I agree with neodym in that we never felt rushed. I feel both times we have done the later ADR we had better character interaction with the later seating. The food was also kept fresh well after the restaurant "closed"

You will be seated in an area with all the late diners. If a character comes by early in your meal they will come back to make sure they see everyone so you may see some a couple of times. Also you may have three or maybe four characters in that area at the same time.

The added bonus is that when we go to DTD earlier the crowds are smaller also. It's less crowded in the stores for last minute shopping

You'll probably really enjoy the last seating of the morning- the characters normally spend a lot more time with you when there are not so many people there. Have fun! We :lovestruc Chef Mickeys! Its a tradition to eat breakfast there every trip!

We actually have an 11:45am breakfast ADR at CM, so i think you will be fine at 11:20.

Not sure how or why it's 11:45 but I have triple checked and it is a character breakfast at that time at CM...so we are REALLY late.

going during a "free dining" time period? CM lunch has been added in the past to take care of some of the demand. But last year the lunch started at 12:30.

They also have extended the hours of some meals like Ohana so maybe that's what is being done this year.

Thanks for all the replies...I feel better now :) I think I was at Chef Mickey's one other time. I was 10, so that was 19 years ago  My grandma took me, and all these years later I remember that we ate somewhere with the characters that was really cool looking, but I didn't know where, but looking at the pics of the restaurant and some pics I have of my meal, I'm almost positive it was Chef Mickey's.

Does anyone know what the pricing is...we will be there right before free dining at the end of September. I was looking online, but I'm confused cause it shows $15 to $60 and allears listed $34.14, I know there is seasonal pricing. I just like to know ahead of time so I can do my budgeting.

We ate there last time for dinner on our first night and I think its a great way to start our trip, this time its only DH and I and I wanted to try breakfast, we could only get an 11:20 but I wanted to go and I figure if we eat a little later it will hold us over til we got to the airport. If it works better, I may think about doing this with everyone for our GG!

for adults we were charged about $34 in June. That should have had a $4 seasonal upcharge. We had a child also that was probably in the $15-$20 range. All total, with tip, for three adults and one child we paid $148 for our breakfast.
