We are trying to decide which breakfast to do. We have never done one before and we thought the girls (5&6) are ready this time. We are torn between Chef Mickey and O'Hana?

With two young ones I would opt for Chef Mickeys. Ohanas is a family-style breakfast with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, potatos, etc. in a large spinning bowl in the middle of the table. With Chef Mickeys you get a real buffet-style offering with more options and kid-friendly foods including more fruit options, cereals, etc. The Ohana breakfast is limited compared to Chef Mickeys.

We ate at Chef Mickey's in Septmeber without and ADR. We were seated immediately! Although it was 7:00am. This was our favorite meal! Great character interaction and wonderful food! My kids loved the waffles and candy dextion. We will definately eat here again. As a matter of fact, there was a specail ont he food channel last night about dining at WDW. I watched it with my two kids and they were so excited! Chef Mickey's was on there and my daughter wants to go again during our trip in June. I have not been to O'Hanas for breakfast so can't compare the two. Good luck with your choice.

I saw that special on Food Network last night too. That's what made post this. There is so much more food out there at WDW then we knew was possible, it looked all so good :goodvibes
Thanks for the input, I think from the 2 responses I think Chef Mickey is lookin good!

Since this is their first, go with Chef Mickeys. They get to see Minnie and goofy too.

Ohana is Lilo stitch micky and pluto

:thumbsup2

Can't comment on o'Hana's but CM was great and the kids loved it (us parents loved it too). The atmosphere and the excitement that goes on while eating at CM is great. The characters and the wait staff get into the singing and the dancing. The characters were great and they came to our table at least once if not 3 times. They took there time and we got many of photos. My daughter actually liked it better than Cinderella's breakfast. (she's also a nutso over the princess). I found the food good and nothing to complain about. I know some people say it is so so, but it's good typical buffet breakfast, scrambled eggs, muffins, cereal, danish, waffles shaped like Mickey, bacon, back bacon, hash browns(I wish I could get the recipe for this one), fruit salad, etc::::: You can't go wrong with this Breakfast.

Have fun and enjoy. :cheer2:

I loved Chef Mickey's. It has been the best character breakfast that we have done. As far as O'Hana's, we haven't been there. We are not fans of Stitch so it doesn't appeal to us. But at Chef Mickey's, you have Mickey (of course), Goofy, Chip and Dale. It is a lot of fun.

My kids saw the Food TV on CM last night and now want to go for breakfast. We have ADR for dinner on the first night and I had planned 1900 or Ohana's for breakfast later in the week, but we now have CM for our last breakfast. Looking forward to it.

For kids your childrens ages definately Chef Mickey's! it's custom made for kids...lots of things to eat and do just for them. OHana's is more of a quiet restaurant but there are things to do also...they have a parade with the characters etc. You can't really lose with either one! Have fun!

We're doing both. I decided since this was our first time that we would do CM the morning after arrival. We're doing 'Ohana the morning we leave as Stitch is one of DD8's favorite. Can't really say which is better as we haven't been to either.

We chose Ohana breakfast for 4yr old DGS, because he likes Stitch, although, if there were a Power Ranger meal, it would be 'no contest'! The Power Rangers are his heros. :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

We loved CM for breakfast. The food was good, the character interaction was great. For our upcoming trip we're going to do both Ohanas and CM. My DS is big into Lilo and Stitch now and I know will love going to the Ohanas breakfast, but I don't want to miss taking him back to CM.
