Chef Mickey or 1900 Park Fare Dinner?

Chef Mickey in my opinion. I know 1900 has some things like strawberry soup that you can't get elsewhere but after eating at 1900 3/4 of my family members had horrible stomach cramping/digestive issues all night long. Plus Chef Mickey's has a better dessert selection IMHO.

We've never had PF dinner, but we love CM's! It's my DH's pick for a dinner each time we visit! We are Chef Mickey fans!!!:flower3:

That's a hard question for my family.. We love both! If we had to decide between the two..oohh.. Maybe Chef Mickey's.. We have never had a bad meal at either restaurant. Good luck deciding! :)

Prior to this year it would have been a hard decision but after our November trip its Chef Mickeys hands down. We had a really bad experience at 1900 PF that we didnt want to do many more TS and used the credits for HDDR and CRT just to get rid of them.

I'm in agreement... Chef Mickey's is better for food... it also is more spread out. We felt cramped at 1900 PF. I doubt I'll be back to 1900 PF, but I'm sure I'll return to Chef Mickey's.

The only time I might suggest 1900 PF is if you've got little girls (ok, or big ones) that are really into Cinderella and would appreciate the humorous step-sisters. The food is good (especially the strawberry soup). However, I still feel Chef Mickey's food is better - more variety, more options, better flavors, excellent dessert bar... ;)

My opinion is Chef Mickey's. It has a bigger food choice and it has many characters. Some of the characters are Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. My DD 11 loves there Mickey Roni and Cheese. When 1900 Park Fare has the same amount of food and the characters are the Mad Hatter, Alice, Tigger, and Pooh. The food there is delicious, well i've only been there for breakfast.

I'll go against the grain and say 1900 PF. We ate at both for the first time our last visit and I felt the offerings at 1900 were better and tasted better too. At CM I had crunchy rice, real turn off.
DD really liked the ice cream station at CM though.

My family and I have had dinner a few times Chef Mickey's and thought it was very good, so I would recommend it.

I am sure we are the minority but we had a horrible experience with the food at Chef Mickey's and probably will never try it again :sad2: The food was dry and tasteless, there was a very poor selection and even the ice cream was actually really soup as the machine was not working right
So our vote is for the 1900 Park Fare as we have eaten there twice and had a terrific experience both times :yay:

We went to both places our last trip in Dec and Chef Mickey is our favorite. I thought the food was pretty good at 1900 PF, but the characters became annonying. They have Cinderealla, Prince , the step mother and step sisters. I know it was all in good fun and the kids loved it, but the step sisters screaming accross the room when right thru me. For a fun family time I suggest Chef Mickey.

I thought the food at CM's was pretty close to awful and the character interactions only fair. The food and the character interactions at 1900 were terrific.

:goodvibesI have never eaten at 1900 fare, but we just returned from WDW. We ate at Chef Mickeys for Thanksgiving Dinner. We loved it - fast and friendly service, great food, and we got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. Great desert bar including make your own ice cream sundaes - lots of fun for kids. One little boy came up to me and said "i got a to-go cup and filled it with gummy bears. He seemed so happy.:cool1:

Want to add that we had great servers at every restaurant that we visited, inlcuding Crystal Palace, Boma, 50's Prime Time, Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef's de France, Jiko.

We also had dinner at both places this past Sept.CM was horrible-food wise-It all looked picked over, empty, and or dried out!!!:sad2: The characters were just Ok as well-must have been a VERY off night-We were HIGHLY disappointed to say the least. On the other hand,1900 PF had food that was fresh and plentiful, and the characters were very nice too-really patient, and cooperative while we got the kids, and camera together for pictures-not like CM where they were rushing us,and almost walking away to the next table before we could get the shots we wanted!!! We will go back to CM,so we can get the character pictures, but no so much for the food.I ate salad, pizza, chicken nuggets-kids food, because the other choices just did not look very good.:rolleyes1

I vote PF. Chef Mickey's is a fun atmosphere but the food wasn't our favorite.

I have to agree. We just ate there last Monday. The food was so awful tasting. If it was not on the free DP and I was paying oop I would not have been happy. I left hungry b/c I did not like anything. All I ate was the prime rib and some rice. My DH literally got sick before we even left the restaurant.
We were closing up the place so the characters were really good with the kids but the food tasted just bad. Even my 10 y/o DS did not like the food and never wants to go back and if wanted to go there so much. We were there in 2005 and it was fine and we enjoyed it.
1900 park fare the buffet was much better and at least edible but still average. Except the soups and the prime rib were fine.

ITA 1900 Park Fare by far. We book Chef Mickey's only for the character experience...not the food. Unfortunately, the DGKs like the hoopla at CM.

We have a 1900 for dinner on are first night , have a two year little girl with us, Cinderella for her.
For my DS 11
have
for are last day Chef Mickey's
for breakfast

I love Chef Mickey's breakfast and 1900 PF dinner

have a great time
