We have had the character dinner before and enjoyed it. I have reservations for breakfast this time but the reviews of the food seem mixed so I am wondering if i should change it to a dinner rezzie. Any opinions??

We had breakfast there last time and decided to try dinner this time...the opposite of what you have planned so far!

We thought the breakfast was excellent. The food was delicious. Loved the breakfast lasagna, and the fact that there were 2 different types of breakfast pizza. One had scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese on it and the other had peanut butter and jelly. Other that those more unique foods, there were the traditional eggs, frittata, bacon, sausage, fruits, lox & bagels, danish, and of course Mickey waffles. I'm pretty sure they had cereal there too both hot and cold. And they had dessert!

The character interaction was excellent at our breakfast too. We had an ADR for when they first opened at 7AM, and there was a tour group of at least 100 people who entered right after us. I was nervous there would not be good character interaction because of this, and also that the buffet line would be impossibly long! Well, once we were in the restaurant, you couldn't even tell there was such a large group dining there! We never encountered even close to a long line at the buffet, service was excellent, and character interaction was great. My boys were plenty happy and asked to go back there again, although they don't care whether it is for breakfast or dinner! Well OK, my little guy was only 14 months old when we went but my older one (he was 3 and a half when we went) still talks about the place, so my little one follows along with him and asks to go back there too! ;)

I would definitely recommend Chef Mickey's for breakfast!

We've only done breakfasts there and enjoyed them. Only reason we haven't done dinner is (a) don't like a big meal for dinner and (b) can't justify the extra cost the way we eat. :)

I wasn't completely impressed with the food at either, but if I had to pick.. go with breakfast!! Can't go wrong with good ol fashioned breakfast food.

We had a great breakfast there last year and are going to go back for breakfast again in March.

We've done both breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's. Our favorite is breakfast. That is usually a must do on our vacations. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to try it. Our kids love it!

We enjoyed our breakfast there 2 years ago... enough to make ressies for our upcoming trip in a month!! The food was good (not out of this world or anything) and the characters were FANTASTIC!! My kids LOVED it!

First, its a character meal so its a buffet with the primary draw being the characters. In our experience the breakfast was more enjoyable ...food and setting wise. Dinner food didn't make an impression that I remember, so it must of been just ok. Now, the thing we noted with dinner was the noise with a level of kaos, deriving from tired kids with lots of misdirected energy and tired parents. I would rather dine else where than MC at dinner.

We enjoy breakfast at Chef Mickey's by far. We don't care to start our day sitting in a restaurant when the parks are open, so we always obtain a 7:00am ADR and walk over to the MK before it opens. Lots better character interaction too.

Neither...CM has gone way down hill....
I miss the old CM at DTD....no buffet.
