We had breakfast there last time and decided to try dinner this time...the opposite of what you have planned so far!
We thought the breakfast was excellent. The food was delicious. Loved the breakfast lasagna, and the fact that there were 2 different types of breakfast pizza. One had scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese on it and the other had peanut butter and jelly. Other that those more unique foods, there were the traditional eggs, frittata, bacon, sausage, fruits, lox & bagels, danish, and of course Mickey waffles. I'm pretty sure they had cereal there too both hot and cold. And they had dessert!
The character interaction was excellent at our breakfast too. We had an ADR for when they first opened at 7AM, and there was a tour group of at least 100 people who entered right after us. I was nervous there would not be good character interaction because of this, and also that the buffet line would be impossibly long! Well, once we were in the restaurant, you couldn't even tell there was such a large group dining there! We never encountered even close to a long line at the buffet, service was excellent, and character interaction was great. My boys were plenty happy and asked to go back there again, although they don't care whether it is for breakfast or dinner! Well OK, my little guy was only 14 months old when we went but my older one (he was 3 and a half when we went) still talks about the place, so my little one follows along with him and asks to go back there too!
I would definitely recommend Chef Mickey's for breakfast!
