Chef Mickey Dinner Table Credits

Hi!

On the WDW website it says that dinner at Chef Mickey's takes 2 credits.

On the 2016 Dining plan document, it says only 1.

What one is correct?

No one knows. That said, the brochure you link is NOT a contract and its contents can change at any time.

Many threads on this. Contradictory reports so far... Some TA were told that it was correct and some other TA were told that it was a glitch. Still waiting for an official announce from Disney.

I have a dinner reservation next Thursday and it is only showing as 1 credit.

I'm so mad about this. We have the normal dining plan and our whole trip is going to change now with this. Grrrr

A "glitch" is a technical computer error. A glitch would be info disappearing and reappearing, a system issue.
This would not be that. Glitches don't change numbers.
This would be a human entering in numbers to specific meals/restaurants.

So the question we all want answered is WHY?
- Is this the new credit needed?
- If so is it now or does it start later?
- Is this a test to see guest reaction?
- Is this a programming error where they were supposed to add a specific day (thanksgiving) or event (dining package) as a separate line?

There are also rumors of price increases at these restaurants that would justify the 2 credit meal.

Honestly there are not enough TS seats to handle the attendance levels (many who want TS) and what seems to be increase use in the Dining Plan. The only way to spread folks around to fill all the restaurants is to make the most popular more expensive. Le Cellier was not a signature restaurant, it was small and in high demad, the 2 credit meal solved that problem.

It's a wait and see right now to see how this pans out. I wouldn't panic but I would make backup reservations on another email just in case it's true and you don't want to pay that. I wouldn't be surprised if this is only the beginning at some of the most popular meals and I don't think it will hurt them, restaurants will stay full.

Just spoke to a cm they said it's still appearing on their screen as one credit but there is a possibility of it changing and that she has no more info on the subject.

This is frustrating. I have to make my ADR's next Tuesday and I'm trying to have it all lined out. Last year we knew everything in advance. This year, HS and AK hours may not be accurate, SW Dessert isn't available yet if it will be for Dec, and now this. Plus this year is even harder since we have 10+ people going and wanting to eat together. At least we are going to Disney!

Multiple TA's were told this is a glitch. Sales manager said it was being implemented for Thanksgiving Day only.

What's going on with the credit listings on the Disney site isn't a glitch. It may be a poorly executed special event pricing alert, but that's not a glitch. That's poor planning.

Just read this:
Just spoke to CM in DRC - she spoke then spoke to GS. Chef Mickey, Tusker House, Akershus, Coral Reef, Captains Grill, Cape May, Grand Floridian Cafe, Biergarten,Boatwrights, Rose & Crown,Sanaa,Whispering Canyon, are 2 dining credits for
Thanksgiving & Christmas Day for lunch & dinner.

No idea if this is true or not. Can imagine some very angry guests if they have one of these places booked and do not know it takes 2. They show up for their last meal and have to pay out of pocket because they have no more credits left!!
