Chef Mickey Dinner and MK Parking?

We have a PS for 7:00 pm for Chef Mickey (earliest we could get), but are spending the day at MK. Where should we park - MK or Contemporary Resort, given the late hour we will be leaving the restaurant? I have a DD2, a DS1, a DW and a DG. I would park at Contemporary, but can non-guests park there and head to the parks? Also, without being a Disney resort guest how do we get from the Contemporary to MK entrance?

You cannot park at the Contemporary for longer than 3 hours. An hour before your PS, take the monorail or boat to the TTC, retrieve your car, and drive to the Contemporary. The guard will issue you a temporary parking pass.
