Chef Mickey/Construstion Issues?? Go to 1900 PF??

Those who have eaten at CM during construction. How bad is it? Be honest. We have breakfast ressies on our last day of our trip, and after reading things here I'm worried it'll be a huge letdown b/c of the noise and/or odor. I called and miraculously got a 1900 PF breakfast ressie for our last day so that we have another option but I want the real lowdown before ultimately deciding.

I'd also be interested to hear if you think 1900 PF is just better overall. We have a 4YO DD, and it's her first trip to WDW. Also keep in mind we're going back in 2009 (probably October) so we could always do Chef Mickey then. Unless you think it's going somewhere.
