I was wondering if anyone had ordered something other than what is standard on Chef Gordons menu that he sends you.

We have reservations for June 5 for my family. We definately want the crabcakes but we are undecided about what else.

My DH wants the beef but the kids (ages 10, 7, 5) want the pasta. I don't know if you all have to get the same thing or what.

I'm interested in what others have ordered and what they loved.

Chef Gordon is VERY accomodating. When we did our dinner last month for the main course we did a surf and turf so that we could have seafood and beef. When you talk to him I'm sure you will be able to arrive at a menu that keeps everyone happy. Enjoy!

Wow...a surf and turf sounds great. I appreciate the response and want others to tell me about their experience!

We are having a private affair on 6/3. I have been e-mailing back and forth with Chef Gordon. We have 7 adults with varying tastes. He has been very helpful with suggestions for alternatives. We also will have surf/turf for the entree (filet/shrimp/scallops). Some like seafood, some don't. Our entree will be varied also ( crabcakes for some, salad for others). The kids are going to either have pizza or a happy meal provided by us. Chef Gordon can help you with suggestions. He doesn't have to go off the menu. Maybe will see you at HH>

We have 7 adults plus 3 children. What do you mean that you are bringing happy meals for the kids? ...Or pizza? Pizza from Chef Gordon?

I would love to touch base with you at Hilton Head. I'm originally from Springfield Illinois myself. Small world.

Chef Gordon said it was OK to bring alternative food for the kids. I read someone else had done this. So, I asked him and he said it was fine.
That is so funny that you are from Springfield. We actually grew up in Springfield also. Did you go to school here?

We actually brought in Lunchables for our kids. They never get them, so they thought it was a treat. We were even going to take a picture of Chef Gordon holding up the Lunchables box as a joke.
