How do you get chefs to call you in advance with regard to food allergies? We've always had good experiences (I'm calling any edible meal I didn't cook from scratch and no reaction a good experience!) but haven't had some of the elaborate preparations some of you have reported. My daughter has very severe anaphylactic allergies to milk, egg and peanuts and an allergy to mustard as well. It'd be great to have some desserts I've seen some people mention. She really hasn't ever had much choice with dessert.

We will be eating at Kouzzina, 1900 Park Fare (fingers crossed for Chef TJ!), Artist Pointe and Jiko.

Have you sent an email to special diets? With multiple allergies you should be sent a form to fill out. When you send the form back, special diets is supposed to send it on to the restaurant. It's up to the individual chefs whether or not if they feel the need to contact you regarding your allergies.

You should be able to find ice cream, either Rice Dream or Tofutti, at the restaurants. They may have Enjoy Life cookies too.

Are you doing any counter service as well? You'll want to avoid all the hot dogs as they all have mustard seed. The chili has mustard as well.

I have multiple allergies (12 to be exact) and I did not contact special diets beforehand. I just noted everything on my ADRs.

I only had dessert (by choice)at 1900 park fare and crystal palace.

At 1900 park fare I had enjoy life brownie cookies with swirl soft serve with sprinkles and surf sweet gummy bears.

At crystal palace I had a fresh made brownie (gluten free, egg free, dairy free, nut free, soy free) brownie with swirl soft serve and sprinkles.

Both were very very good. I was accommodated very very well at all places. But I also didn't go in expecting anything elaborate. I just wanted good food that was safe for me to eat (and that I didnt have to cook!)

Our last trip, I noted the allergies of my son on our adr's and contacted special diets to fill out a form. They sent it to POP and all places we had adr's at. I got a few emails from chefs, but POP and Cape May called me several times to prepare for my son. He has over 20 allergies.
