Is this a good place to eat, we don't have one where we live, I was looking at the menu (seems like a lot to choose from) Is it easy to find, is it really crowded, and how is the mall that its in (is this worth our time?)tia :flower3:

Are you talking about the Cheescake factory inisde Universal Studios?

There is one at Universal but it is small--mostly sandwiches and some great desserts. I'll move this thread to the proper forum so you can get more answers.

I have been to the one at Mall of Millenia . . . as well as several down here in South Florida. It is the definition of an upper level "chain" restaurant.

I'll start with the mall, me and the wife enjoyed it when we were up in Orlando. It was a change of pace from the Outlets, which are outside, so when it is hot outside and you can go inside to a cool mall and shop, it definitely sticks in the memory. We bought some stuff at Macy's.

With so many dining options in Orlando, I probably won't return to that one . . . the only reason I went in the first place was because I had a $100 GC. The food is real good IMO, and if you don't have a CheeseCake factory in your area, I definitely would suggest trying them out. They are on the expensive side, but the food is much better than the normal chain restaurants like Chili's, TGIF, AppleBees, etc.

If you go, make sure you do yourself a favor and get a slice of cheesecake. Arguably the best cheesecake you will ever eat. I think there is a coupon floating around that will give you a free slice per every $30 you spend at the table. So if there are 4 of you and you spend $120 before tax/tip, you will get 4 slices of cheesecake for free (only 1 coupon is needed). Google the coupon with those terms and you will find it, I think the deal is over at the end of June.

The food taste good, the wife loved the presentation. The drinks were weak, which is what I expected, which is what to expect at most chain restaurants. I remember having this incredible appetizer though, I can't remember what it is but they have some interesting choices. Their menu is HUGE. My father refuses to go, as he is a former restaurant owner/chef and he tells me it is impossible to have fresh food with that many options on the menu. I dunno, but the food is pretty good to me.

This is us, too. We are planning to go to Mall at Millenia and definitely going to Cheesecake Factory. Didn't know there was one in US, but since it sounds like it doesn't have all the choices, we will stick with the one at the Mall.

We don't have one in our area, either. The closest is an hour and a half away, so when we have to catch our flight (if we are using that airport) we look forward to visiting it. :rotfl:

The Mall is huge, you need a whole day to cover that mall PLUS it's always REALLY busy!! SO I'm sure Cheesecake Factory will be busy too.

We love Cheesecake Factory. Never been to any in Orlando but we have one about 15 minutes away from us in Boca and go there fairly frequently. Great apps, salads, dinners and desserts (especially the Cheesecake;)). Service is almost always great as well. You can easily split meals or have apps for a meal. My dd loves this place and gets mad at us when we go without her.:lmao:

There is no Cheesecake Factory inside any park,Universal used to sell some of the cheesecakes in one of their bakery/restaurants,they had a Cheesecake Factory sticker in the window which is no longer there, either way it's not and never was a Cheesecake Factory.Disneyquest in Downtown Disney also had a small express Cheesecake Factory location which is also now gone. The Orlando Cheesecake Factory locations are in the Mall at Millenia which is a nice mall located on Conroy rd and I-4 about two exits north of the exits for Universal Studios and there's also another location in Winter Park further north. The Millenia location will most likely be busier but if you go at a non peak time you shouldn't have too much of a wait if any.I would suggest you do try it as even though it is a chain, it is one of the best chains out there with anything and everything you could want on the menu.

The menu is like a chapter book. They have everything from stir fry, to burgers, to salads, to surf and turf, to comfort food. The portions are VERY large so try not to order both apps, entrees, and dessert. We have had many great meals on apps and desserts only. Dh's nickname is house. No, I am not kidding ;). He has left half a plate behind at times!

They consider themselves an upcale chain. Their prices are a bit more expensive, and you should expect a wait before seating. Regardless, it really is fun, and a great atmosphere.

Don't forget to leave room for the cheesecake. Seasonal pumpkin and Godiva are my favs ;)

The counter service at Universal is called Beverly Hills Boulangerie and still has the Cheesecake Factory sign in the window as of today. (I actually just got soup and sandwich there for lunch today.) I do know that it is not the same as the Cheesecake Factory but this thread was originally posted on the Universal Orlando forum (before I moved it) so I was assuming that the OP was asking about food at Universal Studios.

After I replied to the OP, I realized she was referring to the Cheesecake Factory at the mall of Millenia so I moved the thread to this forum.

Cheesecake Factory joins a host of other restaurants in still refusing to provide nutritional information online. Fortunately, California state law requires chain restaurants to disclose their nutrition facts - or, at least, some of them. And when the law passed and the Factory finally revealed the secret behind their monstrous dishes, jaws dropped. No other restaurant in America matches Cheesecake Factory's atrocious lineup of menu items. We can safely say that the Cheesecake Factory is the Worst Restaurant in America.

This is just what we want to do. We are taking a day from Disney, renting a car and just going shopping. We may try to fit Florida Mall in as well. It seems close and we will have a car. ;) Thats funny about your dd.

We will be going on a Tuesday, so hopefully that is non peak. :goodvibes

Yes, learned that about the app's on our last trip in Albany. Hoping they have the Red Velvet Cheesecake or Banana Cream. :cool1:

Thanks for all the feedback, I hope we can fit this into our schedule.

What are you talking about? The portions are huge so OF COURSE if you are looking at the nutritional information, it is going to seem awful. You do not have to eat it all at once. Normal people with normal appetites would split their meal there into two or more meals. At that point, it's not any better or worst than anything else you're eating.

Phamton, I know this is OFF topic but I couldn't help but notice the bar code below your name on the left. Is this something new or just for moderators??

I chose a barcode for my avatar. I saw so many posters on the Dis with pictures and characters, so I thought a barcode would be funny to represent me as a generic type person. It's not a moderator icon---just one I chose to be funny.
