Ok all you folks in Dissland
If you're reading this you've finally made it - trippie finale! Its a long one so get yourself a cuppa, a slice of cheesecake and read on.
And just for the ladies for the last time....
....................drool away ladies
Right then....
Monday 1st May - White Rabbits!
Awake at 8am. Did some packing while I gulped my tea and another slice of eewwkky cheesecake. (well, someone had to eat it)
We went to TGI's for an early lunch at 11am - I had loaded potato skins - yum and a fruit juice coctail and a slice of their NICE
cheesecake just to take away the taste of the horrible one you understand
Straight to the Magic Kingdom. Met up with Jo and Pete. Got FP's for Buzz and then went on Small World
and did Philarmagic. - Great - must do it if you havent already!
Then it was time to fight Zurg again
we caught him....hooraah!
Is there any dissers who know if there is a target on this ride that gives you massive points? We have ridden this ride god knows how many times and I can never get past the 4th score section, and thats with me really trying and the ride had to stop so I had extra time to shoot! Come on - share your secrets!
Anyway... back to the day... Nanny and Grandad had Ellis for a bit then, so Neil and I went on Space and thunder Mountains and the Indy car ride and I bought myself a Mickey watch.
We met up again at 4.30pm and did the Jungle cruise
but Neil found it boring so he jumped in and started yawning!
The big train ride round the park was next to rest my feet and then we got off in Toontown. We went through Mickeys House and queued to see Mickey -5 minutes thats all!
We couldn't get dinner reservations anywhere today - duh - I'd forgotten to make a reservation - so we ate at the Columbia Harbour House.
Its only a counter service, but its much nicer than all the others. I always have the veggie chilli and the others had clam chowder. Then its chicken or fish with fries and a I have a side of coleslaw. If you havent tried this place - try it - its nice and quiet compared to the others aswell. Its in Liberty Square area opposite the gate to Haunted House.
After re-fueling it was on to be spooked at the Haunted Mansion. Next time you go, spend some time reading the tombstones in the garden - they make me giggle anyway. Next it was small world - again - (Nanny likes it). The men couldn't face it so it was just the 3 of us singing as we went round.
We had a quick blast on the carousel and then found a spot for Spectro Magic at 9pm. Now, the place was heaving. Not an inch of pavement to be found so we stopped on the path to the right of the castle where you can cut through if you're going to tomorrowland. Do you know the one I mean? Not the main walkway area, its a thinner path through the gardens. Anyway, it was a good view (hence why I was telling you!) Jo and I then whizzed to the Main Street shop to get a final Beanie and a Power Rangers watch that Ellis had begged for.
Then it was time for Wishes....
Ahhhhh,.... Wishes..... I think this is an amazing show. Saw it last time we were here and bought the soundtrack so Ellis and I sung our heads off as the fireworks blasted above us.
Am i the only one who wants to be Tink for a night and whizz off the castle? I'd pay good money for that!
Mind you, I'd pay the entrance fee just for wishes alone. Perfect ending to a lovely day. Shuffled out of the park (I have not seen the park so busy apart from xmas) Maybe it was cos both shows were on tonight? - dont know why but you could almost take your feet off the ground and still move along you were that packed in. Sardines sprung to mind!
Took my last glimpse at the castle as we left and whispered that we'd be back soon................boo hoo....sob....time to go.... sob...
We got to see Mickey as we were leaving saying goodbye from the train station, so we shouted byeeeeeee Mickey. He must have known it was our last Disney day and come to wave us off! - Well, thats what I told Ellis anyway.
We got on a ferry pretty quickly and were home by 11.30pm.
Ellis was snoring in the back of the car so we just plonked him into bed in his clothes. Poor kid - I think we really wore him out today.
Had the last of drops of my wine and Neil ate the last of the manky cheesecake with his last couple of beers.
Goodnight....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Next Day - Day 16
Tuesday 2nd May
Up at 8.45am - need to be out by 11am. Everyone bathed or showered and weetabixed and the last bits of packing done we shouted "bye bye room" and checked out of the Comfort Inn.
Lovely hotel - no complaints! Would go back - room 1521! I stuck a small gold star on the outside of the room by the numbers -see if its still there if you ever go there!
Went to Downtown Disney and did the check-in - very organised - 15 minutes and we were done. They didn't weigh a thing - we had 3 cases, a buggy and a car seat in its box. Checked re the nut free meal and we were away for the rest of the day.
Now its a bit of a tradition for us to go to TGI Front row on International Drive for our last meal of the holiday so we went there for a nice lunch.
All full up we headed for Seaworld. Now, I had been a bit unlucky with the whale viewing window last time - they werent there! so I headed straight for it with every intention of just staying there all day - I love 'em! However, as luck would have it, they were cleaning that area so all I could see was murky green water. The "kind" man told me if I hung around long enough I might be lucky enough to see a diver cleaning the glass---ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I think not.
However, not all was lost, cos we got to see the Believe show again. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
It had been on at 3pm and 4.30pm last week so we didnt think we'd see it cos of heading for the airport, but bless Shamu... he must have known cos he did the show at 2pm.... just for me! (and a few thousand others but hey...I'm the only one that mattered!)
It really is a lovely show. The penguins at the start on the film are great (dont make me peck ya!- you'll understand if you've seen it), but Shamu is awesome.
Anyway........we could avoid it no more...the time had come to head for the airport .........so thats what we did.
No problems at all - handed the car in and went upstairs to shop!
Had Burger King - bless 'em - they did toffee cheesecake!
- of course I had some. Rather nice it was too!
After a few last minute purchases and my O magazine (does anyone else like this?) we went to the gate for departure.
Now, Neil had been looking at Sunglasses the WHOLE holiday - this one particular pair - Raybans - cost about a million pounds I think they were (or near enough). After a minute of sitting there I sent him off to buy them from Duty free. - He came back like an excited big kid
and we got on the plane.
Journey home was uneventful escept for one silly moment - Ellis's "nut free" meal arrived with a sticky note on the tray saying they couldn't guarantee it was nut free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - how ridiculous is that! It had been made offsite so were not guaranteeing it hadn't any traces due to cross contamination.
Luckily, he'd had a burger King burger and fries so didnt want it anyway (we always take extra food and snacks anyway) but how stupid. Thats like saying heres your vegetarian meal - sorry but we cant be sure it hasn't got half a cow in it!
Oh, and by the way...guess what we had for pudding .......yes.........chocolate cheesecake!
.................................................. .................................................. ...
Well, been back a few weeks now. Done the washing and the ironing.
Just wanted to say a big thank you if you got to the end and are still reading this! Hope you liked my trippies. It was a first attempt and nothing like the expert ones I've read on here, but I hope I made you smile once in a while.
I have no idea how many slices of cheesecake I ate over the 15 days, but I put on half a stone -OOPS!
Now...off you go....time to go buy yourself some cheesecake!
