If we want to pick up something to take to the room for late night or breakfast, where's the best place to get it? I'm looking for suggestions in all 4 parks & on the Boardwalk (Counter Service only). Also, what locations do you prefer for each item? We're staying @ Dolphin, so Boardwalk Bakery is convenient, but picking things up as we leave the park is just as convenient. If you've gotten these items at the BB & inside a park, which did you prefer. TIA :)

PS: We love Boulangerie Patisserie for quiche & pastries, but haven't tried their cheese plate. We don't like the pastries @ Kringla Bakeri og Cafe quite as good. Other than that, we haven't been to any other locations enough to form an opinion.

I had the cheese plate from Boulangerie Patisserie on our last trip and it was great. I rosolved that this would be my standard lunch at Epcot from now on. Just for fun, wander over to see Belle and Beast. Beast loves cheese:laughing:

Last trip we tried the fruit plate from the Boardwalk Bakery and it is now a favorite! It was made up of cantelope, honeydew melon, red grapes, kiwi, pineappple, and a small cup of yogurt for about $5.50. It was really fresh and plentiful. We had it for lunch or in our room with cereal for breakfast.
We are also looking for a good counter service cheese plate.

The cheese plate in France is SO yummy, and only $6! Def my favorite WS snack by far.

One night at the MK I decided to feed my DDs 8 and 6 at the Main Street Bakery using primarily snack credits. I paid OOP for a cheese and fruit plate which consisted of red grapes, apple slices, crackers and cheese (brie and I think Swiss). I used snack credits to get each of their girls a cup of strawberries and some waters. One daughter had an uncrustable pb&j. The bakery also had sandwiches and some great looking pastries. I've read their cinammon buns are fantastic.

At the outdoor fruit market in AK you can pick up a nice cheese/cracker/fruit/nut plate that is quite substantial. It qualified for a snack on the DDP even though the price tag was 5.99, if I'm remembering correctly. We had it twice, once on the bus between places. :thumbsup2

The grab-n-go refrigerated cases at Sunshine Seasons in the Land have a fruit & cheese plate that is quite good as well.

I will have to keep that in mind.

I love cheese so we might just have to stop by France for some.

Thanks all! :) So far we have:

Cheese Plate - Boulangerie Patisserie

Fruit Plate - Boardwalk Bakery

Cheese & Fruit Plate - Main Street Bakery, Outdoor Fruit Market, & Sunshine Seasons

Did I miss anything? The fruit plate at BB sounds like a great breakfast option. The others will be perfect room snacks. We plan to go to the resort midday, & only have lunch plans one day. Looks like this will be lunch most days. ::yes:: Our DS will love the mixture of cheese & fruit. We may have to get a few plates on our last day to bring a little Disney home with us.

On our past two trips to the Dolphin, we got strawberries and cream from Picabu. Very fresh.

I'd love to see a picture of the cheese and fruit plate from Boulangerie Patisserie. Anyone have one?

I've seen a picture on the latest food porn thread of an amazing fruit plate (no cheese) served at Flame Tree BBQ at AK. It comes with a little cup of yogurt for dipping. I'm having that :goodvibes!

Another vote for the cheese plate from Boulangerie Patisserie!
We get it every trip, and you also get a small loaf of fresh bread with it (think Panera side size). It's delicious!! Can't wait to have it again in four weeks!! :woohoo:
