Cheese Pizza only for kids at Pizza Planet?

Apparently disney doesn't feel the need to add toppings to kids pizza. My son who's 9 read the kids meal choices and was teary eyed. We never have cheese pizza ever..

I know right ?

It's killin' us too. They boys really wanna go to Pizza Planet. We will be going, but not able to eat anything as they both have a dairy allergy :(

very disappointing, can't they come up with somethin else ?

You could always just order them an individual pizza. But honestly the food is horrible there, you'd be much better off eating elsewhere.

What should a PIZZA restaurant offer instead? :confused3

I'm sure they have pepperoni on the menu, My DD had it last time. Isn't there also a veggie?

Edited to add: They have a garden, cheese and pepperoni. Just checked on allears.

I guess you're right... I could just buy him an adult pizza (pay op) and not use my counter service credit. Sometimes I'm so busy planning my "credits usage" that I forget about the obvious. I could also order the pepperoni for myself and give it to him- but I don't really want just cheese either :) I've heard it's not really great pizza but I think we're just going for the atmosphere. All of my boys really love the toy story movies and I think they would really enjoy the decor of the place.

They have 2 different salads - not kids meals, but if you really want to eat there, they have them as options.

I am lactose intolerant and had a great experience at Pizza Planet. They have rice cheese that they can put on the pizza and they have a special crust that is free of many allergens- including dairy. The sauce they used for my pizza was dairy free too. Just ask to speak to a manager. The best part about eating at Disney...one of the reasons I keep coming back..is because I can eat anywhere. Disney is very accommodating. Every counter service location has a notebook w/ ingredients and options. The chefs at the table service places have gone above and beyond, as well. :thumbsup2

Also, for those looking to go just for the atmosphere... the restaurant is nothing like what you see in the Toy Story films. Yes, it has pizza..yes it has games... but it's much lighter and brighter and the games are fewer.

It's a decent place, just give your kids a heads up, so that they won't be expecting too much from it.

FWIW - We are a family of 5 and when the kids were younger, we found that 3 (4 max) meals were actually enough for the five of us since we could also get the salad and desserts that came with them. You might find that you don't need to use his credit at all at this meal and could just use it another time without even having to pay OOP.
