My 4 year old has autism, and one of his comfort, calm down, the world really isn't evil foods is cheese fries. He's doing better eating different foods, but I'd like to have a back up list of where I can find cheese fries if he gets overwhelmed and stops eating. (He's a stinker like that :upsidedow )

I know about the Figaro Fries at MK. I'm assuming it wouldn't be a problem to order them without the nutritious salad on top. Are there other places that would have them?

Thanks!

Julia

Someone who is much more familiar with the toppings bars can chime in here, but isn't cheese available on a lot of the toppings bars such as at Pecos Bills, Electric Umbrella, etc.? Then you could order plain fries and add on the cheese.

AK has fries at Petrifries and cheese sauce at Safari Pretzels
Studios has fries at Farfax fries and cheese sauce at Herbie's Drive-in
Epcot does have cheese fries at Electric Umbrella
MK has cheese fries at Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays

These places no longer offer cheese sauce on the fixings bars.

I wonder if you went to a burger place if you could ask them to add a slice of cheese on hot fries? But then again, knowing the kids I have worked with in the past, this wouldn't fool them at all. . .

Looks like you can get them from:
Cosmic Ray's (MK)
Electric Umbrella (EP)
Everything POP (POP Century)
End Zone
Intermission Food Court
Pecos Bill (MK)
Sand Bar (TL?)
Food and Fun Center
World Premiere Food Court

I know some of these are not in the parks, but I'm sure that if you have to leave and come back to prevent a major problem, you'd be more than willing :)

Pop also has cheese fries in the food court.:goodvibes

Yeah, you're not kidding. I've tried that at home once and he acted like I tried to feed him something out of the trash. :rotfl:

I'm jotting down all of the suggestions. Thanks!

Figaro Fries - French Fries served with bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato topping. - $3.19

at Pinnochio's in MK. You could ask them to hold everything except the cheese.... Just a thought. I have seen, as someone said, cheese sauce at Casey's too..

Have you thought of carrying the "cheese dip"...I forget the name brand of the one my dd6 likes...correction LOVES!!! I would totally consider packing some of the cheese dip in a resealable plastic container, purchasing fries and letting him dip away (or just pour some cheese over the fries...just like the traditional cheese fries AND when he isn't looking!!!! If he needs the cheese warmed, I think the baby stations have microwaves (I could be wrong, but I am willing to guess!!).

Sometimes it can be difficult with autism children getting it just right...and it can be trying on the nerves until you do!!! You might try introducing it to him at home so it would not be a surprise at the parks.

Best of Luck to you & Have Fun!!!!:flower3:
