Ok, I've asked this question before and had lots of people viewing but no replies :guilty:
I know the cheerleaders competition will be on whilst we're in Orlando (29th Jan til 16th Feb) and know my DD (6) would love to see them.
Can we? Where? :cheer2:
We're from the UK and (according to my DS (17) who is a major basketball player) our cheerleaders are terrible in comparison with those in the US  )
I don't mind whether we have to pay or not or even just watch practice.
Any help would be much apreciated.
Thanks.

I don't have the answer for sure but I think that they compete at the WWOS complex. You may have to pay admission to get into the WWOS complex but if your son is into sports it may be worth it anyway as there is quite a bit of sports type stuff to do over there.

I'm sure someone here can give you a definite on the location.

Have fun!!!!

Much to his disappointment DS won't be with us on this trip :guilty:
But I'm more than willing to pay for WWOS as I'm sure Eve will love the experience (plus DS would like a photo / postcard or whatever  )
I did go to the WWOS site but it told me that there were no events to buy tickets for.
I understand that the cheerleaders will be staying at the AllStars (?) and maybe practising there?
Whatever, we'd just love to see them. DD has the chance to train to be a cheerleader at school for the local basketball team (for which my DS (17)plays)

You can almost count on the fact that "most" of the Cheer teams will probably be staying at one of the "value" resorts (All Star/Pop) and I know that they will be out in the common areas practicing, sometimes late into the night.

I'm sure someone here on the boards will be heading down with their kids for the Cheer competition that will be able to help out a little bit more the me.

That's what I'm hoping for. That someone will tell me when they are practising, and where ;)
It would just about make our holiday for DD to be able to say that she saw 'real' cheerleaders. :D
....and her brother would be so jealous...... :p

Thanks for that, it great but, I think I might be a bit more confused now..... :p
I think that maybe the first thing I need to do is drive over to WWOS and find out what's what.
I've tried the Varsity website and couldn't find anything online :guilty:

Alison...

I found this under the FAQs for the High School Cheer competition...

Do we have to purchase a Walt Disney World PARK-HOPPER Pass in order to watch the competition at Disney’s Wide World of Sports™ Fieldhouse?
No! If you are only going to the Wide World of Sports™ Fieldhouse you may purchase a ticket at the door for $25 per day per person. However if you purchase a Walt Disney World PARK-HOPPER ticket from the NHSCC it includes admission into the Fieldhouse (admission into the fieldhouse does not take a day of admission off of the theme parks).

Thanks for that Pam :D
We do have park hoppers so now all I have to do is find out the day and check it out when we get there.
