Cheer groups for the full

Haven't decided. I really like being outside HS, but was thinking of volunteering in one of the med tents this year.

Ya studios was a great spot, by that point I don't think I was functioning properly anymore just putting one foot infront of the other.

It is great to see friendly faces along the course.

I just signed up for one of the early waterstations so I can be on the course early.

I think I am at WS #7 any idea where on the course that is? I think we have to go back to WWoS when finished anyways then try and get to a spot to cheer....time to pull out the map.

Kim, last year we were the stop right before entering the TTC parking lot. We met at Parking lot across from Poly and we go back there not ESPN WWoS.

Mel--- who else si going to HS??? I can't be there at the beginning...

I thought I saw where Tracy was already signed up for 2011 but could only find where she described WS 7 and 11. If you are at a stop requiring you to check in and out of the WWoS you would need a car or a ride. I don't think they have busing for the volunteers from the resorts to the WWoS those mornings. I'm going from memory of the 2009 Full cheer when I was sent the wrong instructions I know we've had a few members who were assigned out of the WWos who were driving. I think Krista was one.

and totally love the MGM gang! Course I totally love the Osceola gang too! and the AK gang, and the TTC gang and the Main St....well you get the idea oh oh oh and the Beach Club Gang! oh man you could just go on and on and on

Where ever someone chooses to cheer from or volunteer from it most appreciated by all A smile, a twizzler, a wave they all mean the world and put a fresh step in the racers stride

Oh ok, maybe we won't be able to volunteer then when we did in 2008 we had a rental car, I forgot about that but we did have to go back to WWoS but we where at WS #22 or something like that.

Poly would be OK cause we can get on the monorail and go from POP to race start and jump on the monorail to Poly....buses should then be running to get us to one of the spots to cheer.

I am doing the half this year and am more than willing to cheer for the full to pay back all the incredible support that I got last year.

Staying at POP without a car. Any thoughts suggestions or ideas are great. If someone is planning somewhere and needs some help, just let me know. If not, probably head to the water area between HS and Epcot.

This will be our first WDW marathon weekend. We will be running the 1/2 (our first) and I would love to cheer on fellow DISers for the full. As we will be without a car, what is the best place to cheer that we can get to using WDW transportation? About what time should we get there? What is the best treat to hand out?

DH and I are staying at Pop, and right now our plan for the full is to head to AK to cheer. The bus drop off is a little before mile 18 and we will just take regular park buses to get there. Then we will head to outside MGM and cheer until the last person passes. We will probably hand out pretzels because that is my favorite thing to get when I am racing - and it is relatively easy to transport. We are really looking forward to scream-teaming in January!

We are also staying at POP, we have decided that we will be outside studios and hope other wishers will be there also. We have ressies in the epcot area at 2:30 ish...can't remember so figure we need to be close enough to get over there so will stay outside studios till about 1 then just start walking along the path to boardwalk so we can still cheer people along the way.
