It sounds like the GoofyDad family will be house hunting soon. I'm with you on that one. If you really want the kids to go to a certain high school I'd be looking to move too. Kids have so many pressures that we didn't have growing up. You're a great dad for taking some of them off your kids.

Hopefully starting in the next couple of months. It's one of those things that I'm both excited about and dread at the same time. We had originally talked about just buying the land (in the correct zone district) and apply for a street address for the property, but that would be cheating the system (in my opinion). Plus, we're not yet sure exactly WHERE yet (although I suppose we could sell that land if we find something better and/or don't end up building on that property). So, since we're seemingly running out of space, we started talking about moving to a slightly larger house.

Seriously though, the books are in the garage rather than the attic just because I'm lazy. I'll have a workday to move 'em up there before the fall weather hits, so we can park both cars in the garage. It wouldn't do much good right now though. We'll be doing a big extended-family yard sale in a few weeks so the rest of that garage stall is taken up by yard sale junk - hopefully all of that crap will be sold / given away soon.

I enjoyed O12 but liked O11 much better. I think that's why I want to see Oceans 13 because they go back to the Casino.

Cherie wants to see O13 for the same reason - going back to Vegas. I like Ellen Barkin, so... there's good eye candy for me.

Good Morning

GD, looks like big plans ahead for you! It's nice to have something new to look forward to whether it's a new house or a new piece of land! (Maybe you can squeeze that Falcon in there somewhere. . . )

Tonight I am heading to my hometown to spend the night at my friends. At 5:30 in the morning my friend Dina and I (plus a couple others) are boarding a bus to San Francisco for the day. Shopping! I am really looking forward to going to SFO because it's been a really long time since I've been there but the logistics of actually getting there are stressing me out, plus there are those "couple of others" that are worrying me. Basically, I drive 3 hours east tonight just to go 5 1/2 hours on a bus tomorrow. That bus ride would take about 4 hours from where I live now, so it's kind of defeating the purpose in my opinion. The whole point was to spend the day with my best friend, without her husband or 3 yr. old. I was really excited until she told me that she invited her neice (who is our age) and her friend Jennifer. Her neice is great, I've known her forever and we get along really well. Jennifer on the other hand doesn't like me at all and I don't care for her much. I'm secretly hoping she gets the flu tonight. :rolleyes1

Well, we are shorthanded today so I don't know how much more time I'll have on the Dis today. Have a good one!

On a sadder note, speaking of prayers, please say one for a doctor at work whose wife drowned yesterday in the community pool. :sad1: . She was also a doctor at one of the other hospitals in the area. She left behind two young sons.

Oh Wendy, that's terrible! I'll keep the family in my prayers. :guilty:

Wendy how tragic. I'm so sorry to hear that. I will definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan I hope this works out for you too. Shopping does sound like such fun.

Night everyone. Our employee picnic is tomorrow so the kids and I have to get up early. It should be fun for all.

Rise and Shine Chicks it's Saturday. Oh wait, isn't that supposed to be the day to sleep in? I have issues with my internal clock.

Wendy have fun at the picnic.

Hi chicks! The picnic went great. We couldn't have asked for better weather :goodvibes . The kids had so much fun. We were there for 6 hours. The thing that wore me out was the paddle boats. I think I may need to take up bicycling again. :rotfl:

Oh I haven't done paddle boats in years. What fun. Glad the kids had a good time. Early to bed for some I bet.

Good Sunday Morning to ya. I'm heading out the door for church. Have a good one.

Hello hello. Happy Sunday to ya'll. Just got home from work. It was a good day :cutie: . That must mean to be prepared for the wrath tomorrow :rotfl: . Bring it on  . :rotfl2: "Beach and Disney! Beach and Disney!: ;)

Good Morning Chicks. Well it's Monday so enough said. :guilty:

Susan I hope your shopping trip was a success. Details please. :teeth:

Morning! I'm so excited to be back at work! (ha!)

San Francisco was great and the weather was warm. We spent the whole time on Fisherman's Wharf so I didn't see much of the city, but we had a good time. The one friend of my friend that I was worried about wasn't as bad as I remembered, but she is still hard to spend the whole day with. We did fine though. I ended up just buying tacky souvenirs for my family and some Bare Escentuals for me. It was a very touristy area so most of the shops were full of t-shirts and magnets. It was also very busy as there was a Giants/Yankees game. (I don't even know who won!) Next time, I definitely want to spend more time. 6 hours was not enough!

Susan I'm glad you had a good trip. San Francisco is one of the places I'd love to see one day. By the way, I have no idea who won that game either. :confused3

Good Morning.

Happy Tuesday to you.

The coffee pot just beeped. I'm going to be a happy girl in about one minute.

Good Morning!

Hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday! It's another day of work for me. My dad is taking me to lunch today so that's a bit of a treat.

I'll be back to check in later!

Have a nice lunch Susan. Where are you going? Is the to celebrate something?

I don't think we will go anywhere exciting, probably just Quizno's. It's not celebrating anything, he was just going to be in town and we decided to have lunch. :thumbsup2

So I hate going into a bathroom at work when it is stinky. Not only do I hate the stinky smell but even though I didn't make the stink, if someone comes in while I'm in there, they will think I did it. Not that we don't all stink up the bathroom every now and then but I don't want people to know that I do! :rolleyes1
