arkansas mom said:Alright, Suzie, my turn for travel advice.
I have about 6 months before my trip. I've never booked my air fare this early. Nor have I ever gotten the flights I've wanted.
So, should I go ahead and book now so I CAN get the flights I want? I have such a fear of commitment!
What if I break my leg in April?
What if George Bush gets this part of the country blown up?
What if I slip and fall and get amnesia and forget what a WDW fan I am, and I don't want to go anymore?
What if I start hating my job so much I quit and become a checker at Wal-Mart and can't get any vacation days?
What if I get arrested for beating up the mailman for not delivering my planning dvd and am sitting in the pokie in May?
Factors to consider:
A) I'm thinking of going with Delta cause they have a flight time I really like. and
----1) I'm too impatient to wait for SWA
----2) I don't expect much in the way of customer service
----3) Their $259 RT is the cheapest I've found so far
B) I don't have a whole lot of sky miles built up with any airline cause I can't seem to commit (see above)
C) Our airport sucks and doesn't have a lot of options
D) Delta is an ME participant for departure
What to do?
I'll hang up and listen...
Ack! You are making me work on my day off. Ok, I'll do my best to answer. . .
Go ahead and buy your tickets, once they are purchased, you can't back out and you can make all your other plans. It's a load off once they are bought. Plus, the earlier the better, better price, better seats, better chance of getting the flights you want.
If you break your leg in April, you can still go on your trip, just rent one of those scooter thingies or a wheelchair and make Dr. Pluto push you around.
If your part of the country gets blown up then we will all be very sad.

If you get amnesia and can't remember WDW, we Cheeky Chicks will have an intervention and reintroduce you to the mouse.
If you quit your job and start working at Walmart, just tell them when they hire you that you already have plane tickets purchased for those days and they will surely give you the time off.
If you beat up the mailman and end up in jail I'll take up a collection for bail money.
If you don't have a lot of options do to a sucky airport, that's another reason to just buy the ticket you want.
Buy your tickets! Make it a Christmas present for yourself!
Oh, and I'm sorry I didn't respond right away.
