Look she even roasted it with chestnuts, carrots and pearl onions along with apricot soy glaze.

Actually, it's one of those things that when you sit there and think about it long enough, you suddenly find yourself wondering why in the h-e-doublehockeysticks someone would take a photograph of their Tofurkey. Then you realize you've actually put enough thought into their tofurkey long enough to wonder why they would take a picture, which makes you equally obseesed with the tofurkey, if not moreso.

I'm going to go commit myself now.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! Hope our Cheeky Chicks at WDW are enjoying themselves.... maybe next year for us.

We have the cookies baked, the chicken wings marinated and waiting and Jacqui is making an apple crisp now... we're supposed to be out of here at 11:15 a.m. (another hour??), um, we'll see.

I just went through all the Black Friday ads and made a game plan for tomorrow, now have to go get ready for the day.

Have a great day everyone.... I have Chitty Chitty Bang Bang ready to watch when we get home (then Grey's Anatomy at 9pm)...it's a tradition. This weekend, we'll start watching Christmas Story

I'm eating my cheerios as I read the Dis and have to be at my parent by 9 to watch the parade. Good thing it's only a 30 second walk. I also have to bring the turkey over which has been defrosting in my fridge.

And the dog.
How the heck am I going to carry a 15 pound turkey and a 14 pound dog in one trip?

Maybe I'll just have to make two trips, it's just such an effort.

I'm here to report that I've now survived phases two and three of TurkeyFest '06--the trek to the lake and hanging out with DH's brothers and sisters. It was actually quite tolerable.
Now on to phase four--the most feared and well, I'll just say it, dreaded. My parents. They're so dull. No fun at all. But the food will be outstanding.

Oh man, we had the best dinner - a spicy jumbo shrimp pasta dish, sweet potatoes, rosemary bread, a big salad with lots of veggies and apple pie crumble with vanilla ice cream.

Yummmmmm.

Obviously, I'm not above murdering a few shrimp.
