Nobody knows Madea! I am slightly saddened by this. Tyler Perry.....The man behind the woman in my avvie, created Madea and also plays her. He started out on stage, and now has 2 movies. The movies are pretty good, but the plays are hysterical! They have very good messages about family and values, but deal with real life issues...

i know tyler and madea love the movies, and i thought there were three....maybe one was a dvd of the stage work though...

Oops, almost didn't see you....

I work at a high school. I work in a behavior modification program where I teach kids who are in danger of failing, dropping out, or getting kicked out of school skills that they need to finish school.

:teeth: Well.......they are........challenging. LOL I love them, but yeah, they are a pain in the butt. Trying to convince them that they don't need a gun is like trying to convince me that I don't need coffee....Just doesn't work..... :confused3

lol. which i suppose is like telling me i don't need to ride. that doesn't work.

What's funny is most of my kids, the boys anway, rodeo. Can you picture rodeo by day, gangsta by night? I always have trouble reconciling the two...... :confused3

That is a funny combination Steph. Have you ever been threatened by one of your students?

No. I have never felt uncomfortable with them. I don't treat them like the teacher and administrators do, so I have earned everyone's respect for the most part. I have felt uncomfortable leaving at times when I know there is supposed to be a big fight after school. But the kids are really good about telling me when I need to get outa dodge so to speak. They are basically good kids who are poor and have very little parental supervision.

I'm sure you do a lot of good for them Steph. It must be so rewarding when one of them does a big turnaround.

Morning Chicks!!!! Seems to be a late morning for a lot today.

It's raining but it's 60 degrees up here in New England, I have my door to the deck open and the kitties are just sitting there watching the rain. And of course, because it's pouring right now, Tucker wants to go out!!!

Hazzi~ Beautiful Hawse!!! That's Bostonise for "Horse", everyone at work teases me because I don't pronounce "ar"'s or "or"'s, they come out as "ah" or "aw"'s ... I drive a "cah" to "Hahvahd Yahd". I pahk my cah for a dollah, it use ta be a quahtah". Oh, and their favorite is when I say "shots" as in "shorts"... the kids get 2 t-shirts and 2 shorts for their Sport Fitness Classes and they all make fun of me when I ask them how many "shots" they need. :confused3

My boss is from Long Island and some of my faculty/coaches are from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Canada. Come to think if it, right now I think I'm the only one from Massachusetts in my department!!! Everyone else has relocated up here.
