on tuesday we are working our way back home to north wales, so we were thinking of staying, maybe abersoch, barmouth etc, i think some of you have stayed here, any one recomend any good campsites??

Sorry, can't really help Jeanette. Just wanted to say- have a good time.

Wookey Hole - is quite near Cheddar and quite spooky but not too spooky for kids. You can't go to Somerset and not visit the Witch of Wookey.

You must go to Weston for the day as well, if only to eat donuts on the pier while getting sand and rain blown in your face (well, it's always like that when we go to Weston anyway :teeth: )

Have a good time

Hello Netty

Ur friendly fellow North Walers here, we have friends that stay in Barmouth every year, the site they stay at is in Barmouth and called Hendre Mynach. Its really nice but it does get busy, we stayed at the Forestry commision site at Beddgelet. That was really nice and would defo recommend it

Have a good time :sunny:

Thanks all, i'm sure we'll have a lovely time!! don't know about eating the donuts though!!
thanks for the Barmouth site, i'll have a look at that, see if they've got a website., and also beddgelert, I have heard of beddgelert, isnt there a story about it to do with a dog and a rock??

No not a dog & a rock lol, its a story of a Master and his dog. The man leaves his dog in charge of his baby but a wolf comes and tries to kill the baby. The man returns to find his baby covered in blood and so is his dogs mouth, so he kills his dog and then finds the wolf nearby dead. Obviously the dog killed the wolf protecting the baby. Thats a quick version of the story lol

oops!!! wonder why i thought it was a rock :rotfl: i knew i should of
paid more attention last term!! there were pictures up on the wall as well
my excuse is that it wasnt our class doing the story at the time!!!

If you are a shopaholic & like lots of discounts, head to Clark Village at Street. It is not that far from Cheddar, think you get the next junction off the M5 South. My favorite is the Cadbury Chocolate shop (of course :rotfl: ) Also on the high street, away from the centre is a shop called Aria, which sells discount Designer gear (lots of shoes ::yes:: )

You will need to get there early to get a parking space & it is aprox 15-20 miles from Cheddar.
