Checking out the Wedding Pavillion

Hi, I am planning on having an intimate Vow Renewal at WDW in 2008, at the Wedding Pavillion. I was wondering, are you allowed to check out the wedding pavillion?? Provided there is not a wedding of course. I am going to be in WDW 9/21-9/30 and I just thought it might be a perfect time to check out the Grand Floridian Resort, Commander's Terrace, and possibly the Wedding Pavillion. If anyone knows the answer to this question, please let me know. Also, where is Franck's located exactly.

Thanks again,

Kim

I was just at the Wedding Pavilion on Thursday and I was actually surprised that we could go in and walk around not only the Pavilion, but the Bride's Vestibule as well. It is so beautiful, pictures do not do it justice.

There was actually a wedding happening at 2:30 and I was looking at like 12ish. The other place, Francks I believe, is by appointment.

Hope this helps!

Franck's is right next to the Wedding Pavilion -- it's all part of the same complex. If you're at the WP, you'll see Franck's.

You might want to go ahead and call DFTW and tell them that you're interested in doing a VR in 2008 and will be in town during that time. They will probably be able to make an appointment for you and you can meet with a coordinator that will be able to show you the WP, as well as giving you more information about a VR. Like the previous poster said, I think Franck's is also by appointment only. You can just go in Franck's and take a look around though -- when we were there for our planning session, several people just walked in to see what it was and they let them look around the main area.

If you do not want to do that, I know my parents also just walked into it a few years ago.

HTH!

We were thinking about doing our VR and we were at WDW in June of this year - I just called the DFTW number and had an appointment with Joe DeMatei at Frank's while we were down there. Joe showed me the WP and gave me tons of information! I highly recommend doing this - whoever you meet with will be able to answer all of your questions and if you have a certain date in mind they will be able to tell you if your date is available.

As long as there is no event, its usually open to walk around, including the Bride's vestibule as stated above. To be sure, make an appointment. We like going there alone without a coordinator around.
