Checking on my peeps

Hi Everyone! Apparently I missed out on the posting war last night too.

Staying busy here, Had more snow yesterday. I have had enough of the white stuff to last me until next year, so I say Bring on SPRING!!

Hey Paul -this is Tamra. This is my very FIRST post on the DIS boards.:woohoo: (hopefully it works..haha). Everything is good. Trying to be patient waiting for the weather to warm up so we can run more outside, not liking the treadmill but it is a must-do in these Michigan winters.
:welcome:
Welcome to the Boards
Tamra!

Stacy:

Thank you for the sacrifices you make and the stress you must face everyday, just having a husband in law enforcement.

I am so glad that your husband is okay. He did what he had to do (what he was trained to do) under the kind of pressure that most couldn't even imagine.

Thanks everyone :grouphug: I'm so thankful that things went the way they did. It could have ended very differently and we are so very grateful that the entire squad operated the way they were trained. We have such wonderful support - the department is such a great family and of course, all of you. It's never an easy decision to make to take a life, but the decision was made to save many more lives. In the end, he doesn't regret the decision he made but is sad for the family. I really appreciate all of the kind words.

Okay - it's in the paper now so I can post it here - involved DH...

Glad to hear Ken is ok Stacy. :thumbsup2

Golf lessons.... I just said to Chris today, when the weather breaks, we should get a sitter for a day date and go golfing. I really enjoyed it.

Me and Alicia are thinking of taking up golf this year. :thumbsup2

Boy, step away for a brief time and I miss all this golf talk. Val & I play. Not too seriously, but we do play. I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that my USGA handicap is 23.8. :scared1: But I enjoy the game.

We'll have to try some Bawb golf during one of our DIS meets.

Hey Paul! I just got back from Kansas on Saturday. It was cold and snowy there. I completed my one week course. DH will stay on for another two weeks. We'll get lots of visitors at the beginning of March. Much to do in prep for that!

How are Alicia and Jenny? Did you all have a good Valentine's Day?

Saw the tail end of the posting war last night but just did not have the energy. It has been slightly stressful around here lately. Glad everyone had a good time last night. Hopefully I won't miss the next one.

That sounds like a blast Jeff! :)

Thank you for making me feel so welcomed. I will try to post often but I am not the Disney planner in the family so I will probably stick to more non Disney topics. Funny thing about the T-puck. I almost did Tpuck1005 (October 5th is my birthday) as my name but I thought it sounded too much like Don's name. He made the joke about Wife#1 and I thought that was funny so I went with that. T-puck is fine with me too. I'll respond to just about anything. I'll look into the "tag fairy"....not sure what that is or what you have to do to get one...is there any hazing involved? And as for keeping Don in line....I gave up on that YEARS ago, that is why we are still married.

Hi, I see we have the same birthday, glad you decided to join us.

Hi Stacy, glad to hear you guys are doing okay, will keep your family in my prayers.

We'll spot you guys 20 strokes.............................A piece. :joker:

That won't be enough!

We'll see how well you guys golf with clubs wrapped around your necks!!!! :lmao:

Golf is a gentleman's game....none of your tough guy stuff. Just take your butt kick'en like a man.

Ohh, Stacey! Tell you husband how much we appreciate the sacrifices he makes, along with you and your family!
