How do I go about checking for resort availability on line?

Just wanted to add a little bit more information.

Go to www.disneyworld.com. On the home page, you will see where you will enter your dates and the number of persons in your group. You will also select if you want room only or a package.

The next page will give you the choice of resorts. You can simply click on the resort to obtain a price quote.

On the price quote page, you can select the type of room (categories depend on the resort you choose) and, if you were pricing a package, you can change the number of days and options on your tickets. The site automatically gives you a ticket for every day of your stay and, most times, it also adds the park hopper option and water parks and more option. You can change this with a simple click.

Also, if pricing a package, the package that comes up with be just the Magic Your Way Package. If you want to price one with the dining plan, you can do that too.

Now....if you to change your resort, you don't have to go back to the home page. Look on the right hand side of the page and you will see an Edit button. Simply click the button and you can change your resort without having to enter all your information again.

I just did a check for the week of 8-23 to 8-31 in 2008. That is the week we are planning to go back to WDW. On the website, Pop and Fort Wilderness are blocked out. Is it possible that these resorts are booked this far out already? Or maybe not all rooms being made available yet. We are planning to book POR, but looking at Pop in the interest of maybe needing to save some $$$ (finance changes ) and still be able to go.
