Checking into OKW on Monday - what should we "request"

Hey,

I was thinking that maybe that check-in at OKW the cast member might say something like "is there any location you would like"...or something along those lines? If this happens, what building do you think we should ask for? We want one near the main area (pool , check-in...) with a nice view, and close to the bus stop!

Anyone reccomend anything that we can write down to remember!

Your scenario wont happen. Your room has already been assigned. They wont tell you where it is until it is available, but sometimes a cast member behind the desk at check in will give you a hint as to the area. I usually ask if I got my preferences, and they usually will say yes or no. Actually, it has always been yes!

We didn't make any "requests" so is it worth it to call and just ask nicely if they have any idea where our room is?

They aren't allowed to give out that information. Especially on the phone. They have no proof you are who you say you are. Actually, I have never gotten a bad spot at OKW! I don't htink you have to worry.

You may want to call and have your requests added to your reservation.

I heard somewhere that if you have no requests they do not assign the room until check-in. By then though, all the more popular requests will already be assigned (close to main building would probably be one that it is popular). I know a couple people who regularly check-in early at OKW and ask what rooms are already ready and if they have a building/floor that sounds good, they take it rather than the assigned room.

We aren't DVC members (we are renting points) so what number should we call to put in a request? (if we can)

Also when we call what should we say?

Since you are renting points you can't call MS. Only the owner can do that or an associate owner. What you can do at check- in is make some requests at that time. MS will try to accomodate you. They will show you a map if you request. But as mentioned they will not tell you a room number unless it is ready.
