We are planning our first trip with DVC for this Dec 18-23. I will be traveling with my DW, DD (1 yr old) and DS(3.5 yr). Are there any tricks of the trade/hints that we should do before we depart to help insure things go as planned? Still trying to figure out how to get the countdown clock at the bottom of the post???:)

Not sure what time you are arriving, but the concensus seems to be to check in as early as possible at the hotel. Realize that you probably will not have a room until 4pm and plan accordingly. Our kiddies are almost the same ages as yours, and the part I am most dreading of our trip is that first full day when we probably will not have a room for nap time. Hopefully they'll do OK dozing in the stroller.

Our plan is to at least maximize that first day by getting through the Animal Kingdom. We'll try to arrive early, and stay through the 4pm parade. By then our room will definitely be ready, making for the perfect time to leave the parks behind and take the evening to get settled.

Have fun!

We have 3 boys 4,5, and 8. We always fly in on the earliest flight. I like to pack all of our bathing suits so I can find them easily in case our room is not ready. We will be at SSR this Dec. 17-24th. We were there last Dec. 29-Jan3rd and it was 80 and sunny every day. Keep your fingers crossed!

If you drink cofee I alwats bring some round coffee filters. I also pack some food, like soup and mac/chs/ and spag. I t helps a lot w/ the little ones.

Have fun and pray for great weather!

I also like the AK idea. I always want to see the parade and my husband always wants to leave by then.
