Checking in

We are heading down in three weeks for a week at VWL. We decided to go down a day early and will be staying at the All Star Movies for the night. What is the best plan for checking in to VWL the next day? We plan on going to EPCOT for the whole day and would rather not leave to check in. Should we go over early in the morning and try to do some kind of "pre" checking in? I am afraid if we wait until 10 PM to check in we will get the room no one else wanted.

If you don't want to leave EPCOT during the middle of the day, then I would head directly from All Star to the VWL in the morning. I would then check-in and leave your luggage with Bell Services. Then I would hop on a bus to EPCOT and come back when you are done for the night.

There have been a few occasions where we stayed one place first and then moved to another DVC resort. I'm the earliest riser in our family, so I get dressed and head over to the other resort while my husband and son are still getting up. I check us in and if the resort is ready, I let them know I'll be heading back to get them.

We've done split stays and you do really need to check in at the new resort before heading back out into the parks. They will take care of your luggage and move it in your room while you are gone. Then when you get back from your day at the park, your room will be ready!

You don't need to drop off your luggage...it is complimentary transfered for you. Just tell the bell hop upon checking out!!
