Checking in without the party

The bulk of our crew is driving to DLH on Monday and we won't get there until mid to late afternoon. We have one person who is meeting us there. She is flying and will be there first thing Monday morning. Can she check-in and secure the tower we want before the rest of the group is there? Can she do so without a credit card (she's from Japan and won't likely have a credit card on her)?

If you put her name on the reservation AND she has a credit card they would probably go for it .

They are not going to hand over a room you have in your name to someone not on reservation and who has no valid Credit Card.

Guess it would be worth a try. Do they have her name already? When I go to conventions and one person reserves the hotel room she gives them everyone else's name so they can check in. If they don't have her name they may not. If someone already gave a credit card at reservation time, I would think that would do.

You should call DLH/Reservations and ask them. They used to not put other people's names on the reservations, but now they do quite often, so if you explain to them the situation, they will be able to let you know up front whether or not they will allow that so you can avoid a problem before it happens.
