Hi all!

My party has 6 adults and we have two rooms, do we all check in together in order to get rooms close to each other? I wouldn't want to different CMs checking us in if we want rooms next to each other right?

Did you bring it to their attention, at the time you made the reservation?

Call and tell them the last name of the other party, and tell them you'd like to be near each other. If you do check in at different times, make sure the person checking in first, gives the CM this info too. It also helps to have the other party's reservation number. They will do their best, but it's not guaranteed.

My AAA agent noted it, Im not as concerned with it not being honored as I am with weather or not we should all check in with one CM. I don't want to leave my in-laws having to check in because they are not involved with the planning.

...at the Dolphin for our summer trip. I just told the reservationist that we wanted to keep everyone close together. She said no problem!

I'm assuming you are checking in the same day? Then no problem whatsoever. In fact, even if one party checks in a week later, no problem. At least in my experience.

When the first party checks in, have them make sure the Cast Member sees the notation that the two parties want to be next to each other. The rooms have already been assigned so it should already be taken care of for you. If not, have the first Cast Member see what they can do. When the second party gets there, they can check in with any Cast Member as their room is already assigned with the first party making sure the rooms are next to each other.

Couple of experiences. Two cabins and one campsite at Fort Wilderness. I checked in first and actually checked in for both cabins. I was told the cabins were next to each other and was given the keys for both. One was ready (not ours) and the other was wasn't (ours). But since we were there first, the Cast Member just switched the two cabins around so we could get into one right away. I checked on the campsite and it was as close to the cabins as it could be. That party checked in totally on their own.

Two rooms at All Stars. We checked in a full week before the in-laws. I requested adjoining rooms (we didn't need connecting). We enjoyed our week and then when the in-laws arrived, I went down to check on their room. They were in the connecting room next to ours. What was even more impressive was that this was during the Christmas/New Year's week.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. And no reason for all of you to be there at the same time to check in with the same Cast Member.

We have done this multiple times, usually with no problem. I have always noted the request when making the reservations. In September, we had 4 rooms at POFQ, and they were not that close together, despite the request. They were in the same building. I think it may depend on how full the resort is, because the CM who checked us in in Sept. could not get the rooms together because they were all assigned to other people.

When we were in the CBR in May we had 2 rooms, and I had made all the arrangements...but my brother and his family checked in with a different CM, we both let them know our reservations were linked, and we were put in rooms right next to each other. My brother needed to check in separately as they paid for the remainder of their room and of course they wanted their room key linked to their own credit card for charging back to their room.
