This may be a stupid question, but here goes: We are going home for the first time in a few weeks and we are taking someone else along with us.

When we check in, our guest would like to have charging priviledges put on the room card for convenience sake but he would rather not have the charges billed to me. He would rather use one of his own credit cards to back the room card for him.

So the question is whether I can split that up to have my family of four on one bill for room charging priviledges and him on another.

There can be only one credit card per room - that's the way the system is set up. However, each room key is identified separately so it is easy to see who charged what. You will get a printout at the end of your stay that lists each of the charges and identifies which room key was used to make the charge. You can also get a copy of the charges at any time during your stay from a CM at the front desk.

There will be only one credit card assigned per room and thus for charging purposes. Each room ID is identified with a different number and any charges incurred may thus be easily separated out. The desk will be happy to total each room ID and apply the charges to another credit card at check-out.

Another option would be to NOT allow charging privileges on your guests room ID and they can easily use their credit card for any purchases.

Have a great trip.

You can have chargeable room keys and non-chargeable room keys (childrens keys) but you can only have one credit card per room.

If your guest is in a separate room altogether he can put his own card on file. Even if the room is reserved under your name.

What about a 2br lockoff? Could a guest put their card on the studio room #, and the member on the 1br #?

No, a 2BR is a 2BR and will have one card assigned.

If you want to break it up into a 1BR and Studio (separate reservations and more points), you'd be all set- but then you might not get adjoining rooms.

Again, the desk will track charges by each ID card and you can easily pay the charges on different credit cards at check-out. It is an easy solution and the front desk does it all the time.
