Checking in with an AP voucher for AP rates

I am planning to order an annual pass, so I will have a voucher when I check in. Do I have to activate it before check in? What about, if I activate it the day we check out-actually after we check out because we only want go to the parks one day (at the end of our trip because we want to spend some time at the resort-first time at contemporary)

It makes sense for me to activate it later because that gives me more time to plan another vacation this year before it expires.

We just did the same thing last month. We purchased AP's through CRO and received our vouchers in the mail. We then checked in at AKL with the AP rate. The CM did not ask to see our AP's. But I've read sometimes they DO ask to see them. But I think vouchers are sufficient and it doesn't matter when you activate them. I was worried about it too and I just figured if it was an issue at check-in, we would simply go to a park and activate them. Have fun!

We have never been asked for our APs, but from what others have said, showing a voucher is fine. Sometimes they say to come back during your stay to show the activated AP, so I'm sure you could always do this at check-out if you don't want to activate it right away.

I'm also just going to go to my hotel,if they say we need the passes ,I'll get in the car and go get them!
Im not going to a park first. I'll take my chances!

Just to let you know when I went in Nov 2003, I too had vouchers when I checked in at All-Star Music. I showed my PAP Voucher to the CM. She just smiled and went on. Never really asked to see it, just glanced at it. But the CM next to us told her guest to come back after they changed their vouchers over. I guess it also depends on the CM and their mood!
