Checking in online

I looked and can't find if this was asked yet? Has anyone checked in online yet? How did it work out?
I have a few questions.
Did I read it right you can check in 10 days before check in?
Do you have a better chance getting your requested room checking in online? Does it recognize that you have a room number request?
If you don't get the requested room can you still go to the front desk at check in and ask if it is available to switch or to get another floor?

If anyone know, Thank you in advance.

Many threads about this on the resort board.

it's working great for many people.
People are now reporting that their original requests are being considered (so don't enter any new ones when you check in online). I can't remember if it's 10 days but it's clear on the DVC member site.

Wish I had done it as I had a 30+ minute wait to check in at Boardwalk 2 weeks ago.

You will see someone at the desk for online checkin but it will be faster - you can check if they were able to accomodate your request and ask them to check again.


Did you really request a specific room number? That's risky - depends on someone checking out same day as your arrival. Better to give a location area or floor.. like I request first floor quiet pool facing.

Thanks for the quick reply we are going in February and I just seen you can check in online. I have been requesting room numbers for a few years now and I has worked out great. Knock on wood. I don't want to jinx this. My concern is if people are checking in earlier now I might not get my request anymore.
