When we visit DLP in December we will be travelling on Eurostar. We know that we can check in on the train but are wondering how you get the vouchers for your breakfast? Can anyone help, we will be staying at DLH.
for DLH I'd probably say its not worth doing Magical Express check in. You'll probably have to queue at Waterloo to check in, and you'll be going past DLH to get to the park anyway.
Also when we stayed at DLH there were no breakfast vouchers, you just walk in for breakfast and give your room number
can you explain to me what this thread is all about - may sound a bit thick - we are going on Eurostar in October - direct to DLP - can you check in on the train then ??? - staying at Sequioa Lodge
Hi CarlaI,
Did you book a package through a Travel Agent or with DLRP direct ?
If you did and it was the whole thing hotel and travel arrangements you'll probably qualify for the "Disney Express Luggage" service. This is when you check in at Waterloo before boarding I assume, or as when we've been, Ashford departure - onboard the Eurostar itself, Disney employees come around the train and give you everything except your room key and breakfast vouchers which you collect from the hotel reception. You also get to leave your luggage at the station at DLRP to be transferred to your hotel so get to enjoy the park from the moment you arrive, on departure day you leave your luggage at the hotel and it's transferred to the station for you.
It's all extremely efficient and let's you maximise your time in the park.
Unfortunately it's not available to guests booking through Eurostar
Fair enough, but with the train arriving at 1.25 and hotel check in officially from 3.30 there's no way I'm risking having to sit around around in a hotel lobby for 2 hours when I could be riding Big Thunder Mountain
Whilst raving about how wonderful it is - I should point out it went completely wrong last time, there were no documents on the train for us
We had to get temporary park passes from the express luggage desk at DLP and were promised our documents would be back the hotel - they were, of course, but I had a hell of a job persuading my sister not to worry. In fact I'd probably have gone into panic mode myself, had I not spoken to the hotel a few days earlier to confirm some details.
Thanks for the help - have booked direct with DLP so I presume that we will have the oppurtunity to use this service, we are 2 families with 3 small children so it sounds like it will make things a whole lot easier - just a couple of other questions though - what is the buffet service like on eurostar - is it worth taking our own snacks for the children and can we prebook seats together with a table so that the kids can play games etc ?? - we have only booked Standard Class
The buffet service isn't very child friendy so I would recommend you take your own packed food/snacks for them.
This is the Eurostar seating plan here. Perhaps it would be a good idea to phone or email Disney to request a Square (table) seat. Even if your request can't be honoured, at least you will have tried.
