We fly Southwest. Last time we went, I had purchased the early bird add on to ensure that we would get checked in. If we don't have the early bird check in, does Disney check in for the flight the day before automatically? or would I have to be on the internet somehow 24 hours prior to our flight in order to check in? Hope this makes sense... lol

You will have to do your own checkin if you don't use the early bird feature. Guest services will be glad to do that for you at the resort or in the parks. Just have your confirmation number/s with you.

Can you let them know that in the morning if you need to check in at noon? I don't plan to be in the resort at noon on our last day. Or would I be better off purchasing the early bird check in? Can you get it for just one way?

You can get EBCI for just one way. You also can go to the resort front desk or to a guests services location at any of the parks or DTD to check in at the 24-hour mark. You will need to have your confirmation number and photo ID for them to do it. You also can check in at mobile.southwest.com from any Web-enabled cell phone.

You can also get it done at a park. I've checked in at City Hall at MK a couple of times.

Nope. I have always had to bring ID and my flight confirmation before they would check me in. This is why I always buy EBCI for my return flights. It is so convenient that way...no worries about being somewhere to checkin.
So yes, you can buy it just one way. I do that all the time.

We just returned Thurs. night and did the early check-in. I would just pay the $10/person and then you don't have to worry. That was my reasoning because the last thing I wanted to do while on vacation was have to worry about being at a computer at the 24 hour mark. We checked-in on the morning of our flight, checked our bags and went to a park until it was time to return the car. We got A17, 18, 19, 20. Worth every penny of the early check-in fee.

Nice numbers!!!!! So, did you get anything left for you, in your room, the night before you were due to depart??? Or did you just head down to RAC in the morning and did it the regular way.....they tagged your bags, gave you your boarding passes?? Just curious since some seem to have stuff left for them when flying SW.

Nothing was left under our door. We were at the BCVs so not sure if it depends on the resort. We just went about 10:30 to the RAC desk and checked our luggage and got our boarding passes. Since our flight wasn't until 7:30 we went to Epcot for the afternoon and got back to BC to get the card just before the thunder storm hit.

GREAT! Thank you! I will go ahead and purchase the EBCI for the way home. We had it for both ways last time and they had our info hanging on our door the morning of our departure. Our boarding passes and ME info were in the envelope I believe. We had to board ME at 1pm so I'm not sure how early they will do it. This time around I'm guessing we'll be boarding at 9-10 am-ish since we fly out at 12:55pm.
